I was amazed at how svelte Hari was. He weighed in at a shade over 265 for Verhoeven but if he was anything over 230 here I'll be surprised. He's certainly lost a lot of weight and with less than a month until fight time, I'm sure he'll "find" at least some of it again.
Is the De Telegraaf covering/sponsoring this show anything of note? Their UK counterpart, the cunningly titled Daily Telegraph, is the only newspaper within it's shores that has wrote the word "kickboxing" within it's pages and it being in a positive light.
Finally, if a Kodiak bear could talk it would most definitely have the voice of Hesdy Gerges.

I have to write that I didn't particularly enjoy this too much. Houghton, Banasiak, Weickhardt, Lemaire, Baker, Silva and King where in spots that they had no real reason being in. I understand that at least one of the previously listed was a late notice appointment but at least two more of them have now had several attempts and have shown that they are not at a level that I would consider GLORY standard.
The Camozzi fight was just plain uncomfortable. Mr Weickhardt was not only considerably outsized but the difference in abilities was apparent almost immediately, to a point where it appeared to me to be that of a man vs a boy. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Whoever made the match and approved it should consider themselves having dodged a diamond tipped bullet.

That's some top trolling on the part of Mr.Rudmann with the misspelling of JBS' surname. Bravo.

This will be the first Kunlun that I have had the chance to watch live since August of last year and I certainly intend to do so. Looking forward to it.

The whole fight. It's as if the magic elixir that was contained somewhere within those long pants is what enabled Yi Long to withstand copious amounts of punishment and be at least semi competitive with some big names previously.
Without them, he appears to have the fighting style of a type of punchbag that has been sent from the future.

Hopefully this will make it to the internet, in it's entirety.

I thought that the fight should have been stopped when the doctor had a good look at Gegard's badly swollen eye at the top of the second, but somehow he went on and arguably nicked the second round, indeed he appeared to on all three of the official scorecards before suffering something of a hammering in the last round, which I scored 10-8 to Shlemenko by the barest of margins giving me a 28-28 score.
Rematch, please.

New channel on free to air UK TV called Freesports which launched within the last fortnight, which has been airing Inside Glory throughout the week. Colour me flabbergasted that they are airing GLORY.46 live at 3am UK time on Sunday morning. If you have Freeview/Youview you can find it on channel 95, as I understand it the channel is available on all platforms with the exception of Virgin.
If you don't live in the UK/Ireland, then the above is probably gobbledeeschmazz.

For myself personally, it's a feeling of intrigue rather than anticipation for this one. I'm hoping for some answers to a few questions, but have a feeling that the aftermath will most likely leave with more than when it started.
My honest assessment is that despite the talk of the beginning of a genuine push into the seemingly lucrative but just as seemingly labyrinthine Chinese market, this card has the appearance of something that isn't necessarily here for the long haul. I must write however, that in contrast to that, GSI's decision to hook up with Sanda/Wushu Fed's is a smart move, at the initial stage at least. But Xe Yiang's removal from the event highlights the problems with having those affiliated fighters connected tightly to events, as Shadess pointed out some time ago, but that's not a problem that is limited to GLORY, obviously. Just the price of doing business in China, I guess.
Did GSI make any sort of move for Taizan Dong? Having him and Yao Ming doing media in the run up to the event would have been newsworthy, for 30 minutes at least, surely?

AFAIK, Henderson is out injured and a certain Messr. Frank Shamrock is in as a replacement. Grappling rules match, I believe.
I also thought JLB was down for a MMA contest on this show.

Watched the whole show from top to toe this evening and what a mixed old bag that was. A couple of absorbing fights, some piss-takingly early finishes, a genuine Knockout Of The Year contender (a real bada-bing from Scorpion Sting) with a couple of watch-through-your-fingers spots thrown in for good measure.

Liking the look of the SFS, mostly for Zougarry-Glunder and Yodkhunpon-Beztati, I can't write the same for the main card which looks the proverbial bowling shoe ugly, to my eyes at least. The Contender series has a really dried out line-up which may well blow serious chunks, but here's hoping it doesn't. I just can't get up for Hesdy's Egyptian Zombie Style, so hopefully Brestovac is well trained, motivated and confident like he is when he faces Jhaffar Wilnis. However, I'm strangely positive RVR-Adamchuk won't be the cumbersome clash of styles it has the potential to be.

Ye Xiang? They have been doing some homework. Good signing, providing they can keep him for a period of time.

Am not liking the fact that Harut isn't serving a 90 day medical suspension of some kind, official or otherwise, after suffering that nasty KO loss in June. I really expected better of GSI, or am I being a bit too sensitive? Fighters coming back too soon after a knockout are definitely at risk. Never mind coming back so soon to fight two fights back to back in a one-night tournament. Grigorian is a moderate favorite in the semi-final bout with the bookmakers, so I think Benmansour has value as an underdog and could get the upset in this case. Thrown in the fact that Benmansour is a proper handful at the best of the times and it's not a nice mixture for Harut. Even if he does make it to the final, I think he's going to know he's been in a scrap. Welcome aboard the craft, JimGunn.
