I didn't watch any of the fights except some main event highlights and saw some of the videos about the post-fight brawl on facebook.
I'm not as shocked by the brawl as some people, because I'm used to that kind of bullshit from kickboxing events. Which is actually pretty sad, I guess.
Khabib and his team seem to have initiated the brawl and there should definitely be repercussions for this, even though there probably won't be. You can't just jump a fighter & his team, especially with innocent crowd members around who can get hurt.
Having said that, Conor had something like this coming to him for a LONG time. Not even taking into consideration everything he said and did over the past 5 years or so, the bus attack alone warrants someone caving his head in - regardless if it's inside or outside the cage.
I just wish it was someone other than Khabib doing the punishment, because I'm annoyed with him and people who back him for no real reason.
In closing, the fact that I'm more concerned with the shit show around it than the fights themselves sadly proves how little I care about the UFC at this point.
There has been just too much disappointment over the past couple of years for me to really give a shit.

Yeah I understand, but in this case, coming from khabib and his team was bullshit. I mean it was khabib and his 20 goons that started it by cornering Artem and slapping him. The bus was conor answer(albeit retarded) to avange his teammate, so it was retaliation. Yet he did not manage to hit khabib or anyone from his team. So if we are to think like some 12 years old kids(like khabib and conor obviously do) we could say that it was still 1-0 for khabib and his team because they started it and conor and his team never managed to get to khabib or his team. But khabib and his team had no reason to attack conor and his team, and worse, attacking a man from behind which just got finished in the fight.
I would have been OK with if michael chiesa came in and punched conor and his team, but it being khabib and his team doing this stuff makes things even more convoluted. From the two evils I have to root for the the lesser one and here the lesser evil was Mcgregor.
I agree with you , UFC is just a shitshow now. They have the fighters to make great cards and matchups, but they go for waterdown cards and shitshows. At least glory doesn't have many great fighters to make solid cards, but even them do a better job than UFC does.

btw the thing that did conor in in this fight was the cardio...again . He was doing well grappling wise other than those 2 minutes of GNP storm from khabib. He blocked most of his takedowns and other than those two minutes when khabib stormed with GNP he managed to defend flawlessly, even get some GNP of his own off his back. But man, he was so tired by the end of the second round that he could not even throw punches, more like pushing them. He had khabib right there in the range to snipe him out but he could not pull the trigger anymore or his strikes were so weak that either barely touched khabib or missed him. It was painful to watch because khabib seemed to be right for the taking if he had any gas left in him, but conor could not do shit anymore.
Conor just exposed himself further with this fight. Probably the worst cardio in LW division. I have never seen such a fit, well trained fighter and lower weight class fighter that has such a terrible cardio.

Talking about good fights, Tony vs Pettis. WOW I knew it was going to be awesome. That's fun MMA right there.

That's the unfortunate 'collateral' when you don't really care anymore: you miss the good stuff.
And there is still good stuff.
On the flipside, the fights aren't going anywhere.

I used to watch all the preliminaries and the main cards of the 99% of the UFC cards.
Now I'm cherrypicking everything. I rarely watch any preliminary, and usually skip most of the HW and LHW fights. The level is so sad there. After starting watching kickboxing I just can't watch ranked guys like Gian Villante and Patrick Cummins trowing haymakers withouth any techique at all to each other for 15 minutes....it's deplorable and ugly AF.
Now when guys like Charles do Bronx, Ferguson, Brian Ortega, Holloway are fighting; I know I can't miss them.
Currently I love also most of the fights in the top of the BW division... Dillashaw, Cruz, Garbrandt, Moraes... I love watching those little guys fighting.
