Nothing happened. the co-main event was a wrestlefucking class *didn't pay attention the whole fight) and the main event ended at the very beginning with Mitrione kicking Kharitonov in the nuts.
boring.

These kind of things always seem to happen to bellator. I have never seen a promotion to underdeliver so much and so many times as bellator.

These kind of things always seem to happen to bellator. I have never seen a promotion to underdeliver so much and so many times as bellator. I have to completely agree here. Due to Spike covering a lot of Bellator in the Netherlands we get pretty much all their events on TV maybe a day or so after they happen. I've tried to watch a few times and I just couldn't do it. Sometimes there is a cool KO or a fighter I like wins his fight, but that's about the extent of their highlights - as far as my personal preferences go at least. They've signed a lot of recognisable names over the past couple of years - not just over-the-hill veterans, mind you - and tried some stuff out (like their HW GP for example), but nothing really seems to deliver or make a substantial impact. I haven't seen their bank nor viewership numbers so they might actually be doing okay in that respect, but my opinion on their events has plummeted. About 4-5 years ago I remember being much more involved: keeping tabs on their events, tuning in for big fights that actually delivered and so on. A personal high for me was when they had the whole Schilling/Kato/Manhoef situation going on. There was some trashtalk and exciting fights that delivered with decisive endings. Now it feels like every main event ends in disappointment which, surprisingly, is in stark contrast to Bellator Kickboxing. While Bellator Kickboxing still has an identity issue and does not really seem to be going in a clear direction, at least their cards have fights that are fun to watch which, at this point is all I'm really asking for. Sometimes fights/events can underdeliver, it happens everywhere, but when it happens for what feels like multiple seasons on end, I think there is a structural issue here. I expected better things when Scott Coker took over. Maybe someone who keeps a closer eye than me on the promotion can further clarify or prove me wrong though, as in all honesty I have not been paying a lot of attention lately.

Their ratings are pretty bad too, getting worse and worse with each and every year by quite a big margin. They are saved for a while by the Dazn and sky sports deals. Maybe they will manage to do something in meantime, but if those deals did not come, I don't think they would have made it out of 2020.
