www.k-1.co.jp/schedule/16495/Some very quick comments:
+ Takei Yoshiki - He can definitely carry an event!
+ Despite losing the final, Kumura Masashi did very well in the tournament.
+ Lots of great KO's and knockdowns.
+ Very fast paced event, despite its length.
+ Kimura continuing his streak. His only 'recent' loss was to Pikeur.
+ Daizo/Fukashi turning into a wild fight, regardless of the ending.
- This event could have done with 4-5 fights less to streamline it a bit. Especially now that Krush and Khaos are K-1 branded too.
- One judge scoring Babayan vs. Koki a draw.
- Daizo/Fukashi being ended by a cut.
- I wasn't paying nearly enough attention, but Murakoshi getting the decision after 3 didn't really sit right with me.
- Didn't like that Kaew got carded so late in the Extension round. At that point there was no way to compensate for it.
On a sidenote. I feel like Kaew/Rukiya further drove the point home that we need title fights to be 5 rounds. Sure, it could negatively influence the pacing of the fight, but I feel you generally get a clearer idea of who won.
