man, what's up with the referees letting cormier get away with multiple eye pokes? This fight was the same story. Thank god at least stipe managed to pull it off.

id have to watch again but i thought id only saw the one eye poke and the others he got punched in the eye. you can get punched in the eye. Once Stipe found a home for that body shot it sucked what life was left from DC. dude was drained. he had 3 rounds in the bag but that dont matter if you cant keep working and dont defend. great adjustments made by Stipe to get his belt back. expecting DC to go ahead and retire now he pretty much wanted to anyways and it was always in his plans.

At thought I saw at least two eye pokes , but I could be wrong so I have to watch again. What annoyed me the most was how he continued to keep his hands extended out with the fingers pointed towards stipes face so stipe will be hesitant in throwing punches. That's as ilegal as it gets and he did the same shit in the first fight. I don't understand why the referee only gave him a small warning for that, that's a huge tool that enabled cormier not to get straight punched by stipe 1-2 combos, which is stipe best weapon.
And about the first fight, I think this guy explained and showcased the multiple eye pokes and dirty tactics the best:

I saw a clear win for Borrachinha, I don't know why people kept booing him. He won fair and square against Romero

i agree with the ref needing to do more. youre not supposed to have an open hand extended out like that.

Good to see Diaz pick up the win.
Also while I like to root for Cormier, I don't mind him losing to Stipe.
