Yeah, Rico is definitely mad it ended the way it did. He is right, anything could've happened. Badr could've finished him by the end of the 3rd. But i'm pretty sure that if it wouldn't end by the 3rd, in the 4th and 5th Rico would've dominated Badr hard, potentially KO'ing him.

I don't know why the judges gave rico the second round, yeah he won the first half of the second round, but lost the second half of the round and when you add the fact that badr also rocked rico hard in that second round he should have gotten the 10-9. Anyway, everything is lost and now we are back to rematches instead of fresh matches like Jamal vs Badr etc.

Rico did gas against Guto and imo he lost the 5th round against Inocente. Rico needed to drop badr twice and win every other round to win the fight which I doubt it. Anyway, I'm shocked that badr in this shape and out of his prime did this to Rico.

Yeah, i was shocked too, cuz Badr looked terrible from my point of view, i expected him to move like in the first fight, but he was flat footed and it seems like this was the strategy, to fool Rico into training and preparing for a movement, rangy guy, with him going forward in order to catch him into exchanges and to counter him and it worked very well.
But his physical shape ... for the most part his defense and his stamina made Badr look very old and past his prime and he still destroyed Rico

The way badr entered with that hook to the body to open rico upstairs and then throw the high kick it's something that you don't see these days at HW.

Rico is a magnificent athlete but he is an above average fighter, as in skills and talent, in my opinion. But coupled with his extraordinary physique, he dominates in a bleak time for kickboxing. And the chances of new talented HW appearing are slim, not until (IF EVER) KB gets back up to where it was in the 90's and 00's.

Then badr picked up the pace and won the rest of the round. This is why rico would stand little chance against k-1 power punchers like mike bernardo, JLB, Badr Hari, overeem, ray sefo, mark hunt etc... you could just walk him down and look for a moment to explode because he has no power to make people respect him and that's exactly what badr did especially in that second round. Rico put on a nice effort the first half of the second round, but once he got rocked again badr started to take over and won the rest of the round. Hari was so composed in this fight, showing really great fight IQ.
