 Looks like this is it for the Reem. He's had a great career.
This makes me pretty sad. He was my first favorite fighter when I got big into MMA. It was the Sledgehammer. loved the fucking Sledgehammer.

If he really calls it a day, he's had a great career indeed. He fought in most of the big promotions for the last 20 years; Pride, K-1, Strikeforce, UFC, DREAM, and was successful in all of them (except PRIDE maybe).
Looking at his Instagram post though... I'm not sure what to make of it. Yes, he mentions his "final run", but he also just really talks about the UFC here. If he was to retire entirely and make a post about it, I think he would have talked more generally about his career, like for example about the other orgs. I listed above.
That guy really likes to fight and I wouldn't be suprised to see him somewhere else soon. Bellator, Bare Knuckle, One FC or Rizin? I could imagine him in all of those in some way or another.

I guess One, Rizin or even Glory could try to lure him with a big paycheck / prestige fight.
When Reem regains access to horse meat he may just be able to become UBEREEM once again, if only for a while.
He is 40 though and has been on the receiving end of some tough losses, not sure if he's ready to put his body through much more punishment.

Suprised you didn't mention Bellator and BKFC. Those would actually be my first guesses. Glory would be pretty cool, too. I Just don't see it, unless it really is just for one fight or so. Reem vs. Hari 3?  |

It's not impossible, but two things come to mind when I think about Bellator/BKFC:
- They're US based promotions, so more drugtesting. Not saying I want Reem on the juice, but I don't want to imagine him continue fighting (let alone boxing) without it either.
- They're such a big step down from the UFC that I feel it really hurts his image as opposed to choosing a European or Asian promotion. Bellator tries to directly compete with the UFC, but will always be an obvious second fiddle. And BKFC definitely has a bush league feel to me. I still watch some of their fights, though.
