Still not a fan of Abena's fighting style, but he does have a lot of power and is only 22.
Tavares being the more accurate fighter, but nowhere near as powerful.

Yup, Abena is waiting for the big shot too much and he is not too active, stiff punches and this tires him fast also when he miss those long stiff punches, so u get tired fighter with low output after round 1 ^^ Tavares was the more active one, but strange decision cuz for me Abena had the more meaningfull punches and they give the dec to Tavares ...

Luis Tavares defeats Donegi Abena by Decision.
After the decision there was a bit of a tussle.
It's a shitty situation due to the open scoring, really.
If you look at the open scoring it's hard to make a calculation on how Tavares won after three rounds. At the same time you can argue that the scoring was BS to begin with. So Glory really needs to clean up their act; either remove open scoring or have it make sense.
Tavares has really good English BTW lol.
Edit: I would have to rewatch the fight to be sure, because I missed parts of R2 and R3.

I never really get excited for them, but women have improved a lot in just a few years and some fights definitely manage to entertain me. At the very least women deserve chances to fight on big stages as well. So far Pereira has been looking pretty good in her previous fights.

Van Soest has a nice sort of step-in/superman punch. I guess superwoman punch lol.

Was that Lucien Carbin in Van Soest's corner?
Either way yeah Pereira seems out of her depth here, but she has power and as long as she has that she remains dangerous.
