Interesting if true. After only 2 MMA fights. But "one of the best kickboxers ever"? Seems a little bix exaggerated, even though he has some solid results and is right in his prime. The UFC snatches the next star right from Glory.

People tend to be very hyperbolic; something is either the worst or greatest - in history! Anything in between apparently has no merit.
That said, strikers are doing pretty well in MMA these days and it'll be interesting to see Doumbé tested.

It's because of Izzy. People thinking "if this guy can learn how to defend against grappling and kick some ass, why not me, too?": Pereira followed him pretty much directly to his title lol. I expect more transistions from KB to MMA.

That's part of it sure, especially for kickboxers who cross over at this point. But there were already a bunch when Adesanya was still working his way up, like Chikadze and Rozenstruik.
There are more beyond that, especially outside of the UFC, like Raymond Daniels and Michael Page.
It's a shitty trend, because I like kickboxers to stay in kickboxing. But with the landscape being what it is, who can blame them? I'll still root for kickboxers going to MMA or boxing.
