Azizpour could do well if they actually do openweight. Might just end up being some all Thai's irrespective of their weightclass tournament I suppose.
Meksen vs Stamp for interim kb title in March. Should just strip Todd if they can't make that fight. Lots of fighters talk big, but I bet Meksen would actually pretty much fight her anytime anywhere.

Looked a bit into the ONE Euro HW tournament. The original 8 qualifier winners: Tomáš Hron (Czech Republic) Nikola Filipović (Serbia) Moisés Baute (Spain) Ahmet Tiren (Turkey) Gerardo Atti (Germany) Rhys Brudenell (England) Sergey Kopachev (Russia) Kevin Tariq Osaro (Nigeria) Looks like probably half of them won't be fighting on the 8-man finals. Rhys Brudenell, who is now fighting on the Glory studio event, is replaced by Claudio Istrate who Brudenell beat in the qualifier tournament. Moises Baute out for whatever reason, replaced by Mourad Zakari who lost in the 1st round of that qualifier tournament. Sergey Kopachev out for whatever reason, replaced by Niknam Haghparast who Kopachev beat in the qualifier tournament. No info on Osaro yet, but considering Brudenell is out then would assume Osaro is too as he is fighting on the Glory studio event. Direct replacement for him would be Badr Ferdaous, but he is set to fight a Stoica bro in Romania a week later... Looked into history's worst run tournament again! They started this 16-man tournament in April 24, 2021. It's been interrupted by multiple cancellations, Glory poaching Osaro and Brudenell, Azerbaijan attacking Armenia etc. The tournament is ran by Carlo Di Blasi and December 17 they finally continued the tournament with 2 quarterfinal bouts in Italy. Naturally they got 4 entirely new guys for the quarterfinals. Claudiu Istrate and David Trallero were supposed to fight in the quarterfinals but tested positive for covid so they got replaced by another 2 new guys. They've announced Istrate and Trallero for the next quarterfinals already, so in total they've got at least 6 out of the 8 guys in the quarterfinals who didn't qualify for them. They essentially wasted 19 months for their Round of 16 with nothing to show for it, just got random new guys to fill in lol. (new) Final 8 Yuri Farcas (Italy/Romania) Jakub Doman (Poland) Sergii Liubchenko (Ukraine)Umut Eryilmaz (Turkey)Claudiu Istrate (Italy/Romania) David Trallero (Spain) TBA TBA

Supposedly Rico injured his knee in training yesterday and the fight is going to be postponed a couple months. Awkward presser incoming.

Watching it right now and while Rico's injury is an obvious bummer, the presser is not that bad. It's a bit too laid back for sure, but it doesn't feel as amateuristic as some of Glory's previous attempts. The venue is nice.
But man, Rico's injury must be pretty serious when he says he expects to fight after the summer. I've said this before and while I'm often critical of Glory; they just can't seem to catch a break. They wanted to do this in March and now it's gonna happen at least 6 months later.
Do they have enough interesting fights that draw crowds and good viewership numbers until Collision 5?
Edit: That ending was amateur hour though haha. Mark Schaaf "Wow, everybody is leaving..." and then a few seconds later "It's time for Glory!"

This is one of the major reasons why you don't spread out tournaments.

Kickfights results from One on Prime Video 6Chingiz Allazov defeats Superbon Singha Mawynn by KO R2 Superlek Kiatmookao defeats Daniel Puertas by Unanimous Decision Rodtang Jitmaungnon defeats Jiduo Yibu by Unanimous Decision Stamp Fairtex defeats Anna Jaroonsak by Split Decision www.onefc.com/news/one-fight-night-6-superbon-vs-allazov-results-and-highlights-for-every-fight/I only saw the highlights, but this whole card looked solid. Massive KO Allazov scored over Superbon to become the king at 70kg. Daniel Puertas looked to be mostly on the receiving end against Superlek and Jiduo had a valiant attempt against Rodtang. Loved the respect between them. Even the women's fight - which was a last minute shuffle - looked like a solid brawl.

Rico said something like at the end of the summer so I'm expecting around September.

Not sure if it's all entirely accurate, but pretty well summed up either way. http://instagr.am/p/CnZ10lsDyog Time for other fighters to step up. Also, Glory needs to sign some new guys. Also went through the division pages on their website for a first time in ages, D'Angelo Marshall and Christian Baya stick out as 2 clearly worthwhile fighters who they could bring back. On a much lower level maybe River Daz too. Moiseev could be a nice guy to bring in again, but since he's Russian that's not happening right now. Perhaps Chico Kwasi as a fresh name for 77 kg.
