I haven't seen the fight yet so I'm not sure how legit this complaint is, but yeah a lot of K-1 events have had a controversial decision or two and it bugs me to no end. It's good that this is being addressed. You have to expose these promotions publicly and it has to gain some traction to have any chance at change.
Needless to say, K-1 or Japanese promotions aren't alone in this. Hell, Thailand itself is one of the most infamous spots when it comes to hometown advantages for fighters. To a certain extent you see it in all countries and in all promotions, but these promotions need to understand that - aside from some idiot fanboys - nobody wants to see fighters get the nod undeservedly. It's not helping anybody.

Apparently the K-1 translators were downplaying it in real time too when the fighters said they felt robbed. Some fighter said they were robbed multiple times, but it kept being translated into a much less critical “it was a result that it is difficult for me to accept”. Granted, fight translations often lose meaning and come off as pretty generic. Still...
Been quite bad times with foreigners for K-1 lately with the Amy Pirnie fake quotes as well.
From what I gather the Japanese kick media also hasn't really been covering any of this.
