So what are Tavares' chances here? I started watching him recently and I am impressed by his shot selection, movement, but he looks small even at light heavyweight (that may just be me though). Does he have a legitimate chance to win this? I think his recovery is good too (Duut had him rocked). I also thought Abena beat him.

Tavares is decent, though perhaps a bit unspectacular as he rarely knocks anybody down or out even at LHW. But he moves pretty well, holds a victory over Wilnis at HW and they just might meet again in the final of this tournament.

Think Tavares is the favourite here. Osaro doesn't have cardio for 2 fights and Sljivar isn't beating Tavares unless he just gave up on training during his PED ban. Must say I quite frankly don't remember how Wilnis did in his last fight vs Blawdziewicz. With that in mind...Wilnis is getting up there in age, hasn't fought a lot in the past few years and didn't look that good in his previous fight in 2020. Don't think Wilnis beats Tavares anymore either. Obviously anything can happen in a tournament tho

If I didn't know Tavares had already beaten Wilnis in the past, I actually would easily pick Wilnis over him.
Wilnis looked good against Blawdziewicz, but he is indeed getting up there in age and arguably has a more difficult first opponent.
As for Tavares, he did a quick interview with Bonjasky's buddy Marinho after the tournament presser where he mentioned he's been going through a rough period after his PED ban and gained some weight, which is actually kind of why he's fighting HW now.
Actually - and take this with a spoon of salt - Bonjasky said he'd heard through the grapevine that Tavares wasn't actually juicing, but pissed hot because the use of Viagra.

And also all ONE is for free on Youtube.

Tavares is out, due to a bacterial infection apparently. Aygun got his spot in the tournament. Filipovic now fighting Fabio Kwasi.
I'd much rather have Filipovic vs Kwasi be a tournament fight than Augun vs Sljivar tbh.
