Its funny this came up, I asked him who the most technically skilled Romanian was and he told me its Paraschiv, arguing that considering his height he is actually fighting 2 weight classes above his actual weight explaining his losses. Well, in a week and a half Paraschiv is going to K-1 to fight Noiri, so seems like we get the perfect test for his theory. He already told me that fight is short notice for Paraschiv! Same... Noiri is looking like a monster right now, and usually he only loses when the opponent size-bully him, so I think is Noiri's city on this one. Now that Gafencu‘s hype train is derrailed, I wish well for Ristea and Latescu in Glory. I hope any top org signs Iancu (dude who beat Latescu twice in Romania) Ristea wasn't so bad against Osaro two years ago, so maybe he can have some decent fights at Glory. |

Bratkowicz lost to Kombou at G85. That was at the end of April, though. There'll be roughly 4 months between that fight and this one.
Wondering how he'll do against Hadar. There's been a lot of hype surrounding Hadar, but as far as I can tell he's never beaten a big name and was stopped in his only two Glory fights. Still very young though.

So they did an actual online draw and Uku still picked Terpstra lol.
These are the semi-final matchups I wanted to see happen anyway.
It's funny, Remy and Marinho recently commented how they hoped Mo and Bahram wouldn't meet in the semis since they feel they're the best, but I'm not sure they'd make the finals if they were matched up with Uku and Terpstra.
Right now the guys closest to each other in size fight each other first.

Terpstra irks me for some reason lol. I think its the lack of personality (something the others lack too), but he is that guy that talks, stops.. and then starts talking again when you try to move on. I didn't envy Todd during that draw. Not that Todd has a lot of personality either.
Luis Tavares is missed in these moments.

Arguably the toughest one he could've picked. At least when you look at his record. Terpstra irks me for some reason lol. Not that Todd has a lot of personality either. Luis Tavares is missed in these moments. I guess Terpstra resembles Schilt in more ways than one. Mo is actually a good (trash)talker, but it takes two to tango. Or at least two people speaking English lol. |

I don't rate Terpstra that high tbh. He is tall, that's about it. Think there's a non trivial chance Uku ends it relatively quickly...or Terpstra somehow manages to keep him at distance and like kicks his legs from under him.

He may be the least explosive or impressive looking of the bunch - I've only seen him in action a couple of times - but I think he is the most proven and has defeated bigger names than the others.
That said, sure, Uku could land something big early like he did on Rimdeika.
