So naturally I went through Glory's broadcast partners list... Somewhat in order of value, probably, other than triller.
Videoland (Netherlands) Combate (Brazil) DAZN (France/Belgium) Viaplay (Poland) Go3 (Baltics) Protv (Romania) Arena Sport (Balkans) Bally Sports (US/Canada) btv (Bulgaria) Star Times/New World (parts of Africa) Fight Network (Greece) facebook.com/HMHDTV/ (Cambodia) and Triller/fite (rest of the world)
No big surprises from last year, but a couple changes. Glory no longer seems to be using their own gloryfights.com at all, they just link to triller/fite. German fighting.de deal is done, maybe doing a bit more with Bally Sports in the US now? And a Cambodian partner.
I believe Bally Sports in the US used to mostly just broadcast old Glory events as cheap filler content and it didn't seem very meaningful. Not sure if that's remained the same, would be kinda odd for Glory to link to them in their "how to watch" if it was just that.

Around the first K-1 reboot event the guy who runs K-1 now, Carlos, went to New York and we thought he was there to negotiate about the broadcast rights with some media company. Turns out that was only sort of right, he was there to negotiate with the people they're having the legal issues with hahah. In those meeting they agreed K-1 would not offer broadcast rights to anyone for now, yet they offered them to DAZN. Hilarity ensued...

Great work laying out the basics of the situation and putting all essential sources together Shadess. It's a highly interesting topic and all this info helps us understand the issue(s) a lot better. While in a way it's cool that our theory was validated, it's unfortunate that Mike Kim was at the center of so many issues during the K-1 Global reign. Not only did it damage the K-1 brand in the long run, but would also cause issues like this one for future owners who now essentially have to rebuild bridges that they haven't burned. That said it probably wasn't the best idea of current management to not honor the deal with that media company and just offer broadcasting rights to DAZN. I haven't read up on all the sources yet, but just hope things get worked out. Guess Irimia was right on the money all the way back in 2013.

GREAT work Shadess. What a huge mess. Yes CSI owns Fight Sports. They actually had a guy calling me to talk about buying the back catalogue of the Thai- & Kickbox SuperLeague events.... to be broadcasted on their own platform. That didn't work out for reasons you will all know one day in the future. I have worked with Marcus Bauer, owner of the Thai- & Kickbox SuperLeague brand for more than 20 years.

Trailer for a longer docu that's on DAZN seemingly just in France and Belgium.
Nice development for that market. Wish we could watch stuff like this too tho. Now we have some Dutch exclusive content and French exclusive content...

Well, on that front; I've watched the latest episode of Remy & Marinho's podcast a couple of hours ago and Remy said they're looking to go English next year to expand their reach. I hope that means they'll be subbing their content, rather than trying to have everyone speak English, but yeah cool development as that'll save me a bunch of work lol.

Now we have some Dutch exclusive content and French exclusive content... I just watched it. It's 22 minutes, well-made and pretty good. It's in French though. My French isn't great, but I got the gist of it. If anyone's interested in watching it, here's how I got it to work (you'll need a VPN): - Go to one of the DAZN territories where you can register for free and create an account. For me that was the Dutch one. - Set your VPN to Belgium or France (hide.me has a French option in their free subscription). - Refresh your DAZN homepage. It'll say something about you travelling and content availability changing per area. - Look up the the documentary via search and there it is. It doesn't work if you go to the French/Belgian territory first, because they don't offer free registrations.

Looks like Tayfun Özcan will be making his comeback at.. Enfusion. Was kind of hoping for something bigger, but at least he'll be fighting Younes Smaili.

Cannot say I watched the whole card exactly, but the event had some really bad fights. Probably not exactly what ONE wanted to display in front of their money masters. Venue was at most half filled with mass ticket giveaways too, tho think it's mostly expected with these types of events.

Yeah kinda funny they had 2 DQs with Brooks looking on the verge of tears and the local gulf Arab guy getting embarrassed by Zatout. Hopefully they like Malakin at least. The only guy on the card I kinda wanted to see was Kuzmin and he just had an average performance against an average opponent.
