Post-Bellator Scott Coker promotion. Looks like kick and muay on the cards again. #1 US promotion by default now that Lion Fight seems quite dead? http://instagram.com/p/C4hDrL6xaH_

In Remy & Marinho's latest podcast it was hinted that Enfusion LHW Mory Kromah is in talks with Glory. Also IIRC last week it was said that their content will get English subtitles, but that it will be done using AI. Not sure how accurate that's going to be, but I hope it'll be better than YouTube's automatic captioning system.

Coker was heavily involved in Kickboxing in the early 2000s when K-1 did annual events in the US (mostly Vegas). Those were pretty solid events. I always thought it was a shame when he crossed over to MMA. I don't know to what extent he was involved in (negatively) affecting Varga's and Daniels' careers, but if it's true that's unfortunate.

I used to communicate with Coker BITD - when I started out as a writer, I did bits and pieces for K-1 USA (Coker), and we e-mailed back and forth on several occasions. In an e-mail he once told me that his heart beats for kickboxing.
You got to do what you got to do: in the States MMA is far, FAR bigger than kick sports, so I guess it's a compromise on his behalf.

Yeah, I always thought Coker's move to MMA was a direct result of K-1's bankruptcy.
Can't recall if he ever had any involvement in Glory's US based events or if he had already started working with Strikeforce/Bellator.
It would be cool of Kickfighting could (re-)gain some ground in the US. I guess we have K-1 New York in just a few months.

I don't think he has had anything to do with Glory, to be honest.
And yeah would be so cool, if kickboxing and Muay Thai got bigger in the States. Definitely looking forward to seeing how the K-1 USA event pans out! Fingers crossed. The original K-1 USA events were GREAT, I think.

Whether it was Stefan Leko upsetting Peter Aerts, Carter Williams knocking out Rick Roufus, Remy Bonjasky winning his first tournament or Michael McDonald sharing a ring with Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson after winning one himself the year after Remy did.

Bas Boon has written a trilogy of books on his adventures in the world of crime while he was part of Golden Glory:

That's why I quit commentary for Eurosport: it was all It's Showtime (at the time), and I already knew a whole lot about their business model from insiders. I wasn't going to just sit there and promote criminal activities.

Well, my post about Bas Boon was mostly sarcastic, because he's a clown desperately trying to stay relevant.
But yeah, I've heard and read some shady stories about It's Showtime/Simon Rutz and in more recent years Enfusion/Edwin van Os.
