Akebono, First Foreign-Born Sumo Grand Champion, Dies at 54 While the Kickboxing community probably remembers him for all the wrong reasons, it took courage for him to step in the ring against some absolute killers. First and foremost, he's an absolute legend in Sumo and always came across like a soft-spoken and friendly giant to me. RIP champ.

He may not exactly be my favorite fighter, but he has some solid victories and could have another run in a more notable promotion. |

Yeah, I noticed the other day that he was lined up for Senshi. I actually think Senshi has been on a really good run of events in the past year.

Funny to me see Puric get this opportunity. He's an okay fighter no hate, but was always kind of a jobber in Kunlun. Just fought whatever rules whenever and didn't seem too ambitious to win.
