Rico definitely should not do bare knuckle rules. If they really want to do their spectacle fight do long pants karate boxing rules with MMA gloves. I guess a gimmick fight is not too bad since he has cleaned out the whole division and his hardest opponent is probably going to jail now.

So Anpo beats Pac-man but it's ruled a draw due to being an exhibition fight.
Even though Pacquiao is much older and was outsized I still think it's pretty impressive he got effectively beaten by a Kickboxer who hasn't really been testing himself anymore lately.

Some interesting bits from the most recent episode of WarriorTalk featuring Donovan Wisse, Maikel Polanen and Anwar Ouled-Chaib: Wisse - has a year left on his Glory contract. - is looking to do two more title defenses to top Pereira's number, preferably this year. - doesn't think a MW tournament is happening this year. - is only interested in joining the tournament if it's interesting for him as he's already pretty much cleared out the division and the money is better than at LHW. - is open to move up to LHW and thinks he should get an instant title shot against Khbabez or whoever happens to hold the belt when he moves up. - has started working on his ground game for an eventual move to MMA. - says if Adesanya and Pereira are able to do well in the UFC, he should be able to as well. - sees Rigters as a clear favorite against Plazibat. Polanen - was approached by Rigters about training with him. - says Rigters has been trying out a few gyms, but eventually felt right at ARJ. - says if Kickboxers want to make more money they should look at how UFC fighters market themselves and sell fights. - hears the criticisms about 30+ year old fighters coming back from long lay-offs to join Glory's HW division, but says if a guy like Big Sexy can give someone like Levi trouble, why not? - says he doesn't want to sound arrogant, but just doesn't think of Plazibat as a big challenge for Levi. Ouled-Chaib - has been itching to fight again since his loss to Semeleer. - acknowledges other House of Glory participants have gotten more chances to stay active than he did. - still feels it was the right decision to do the title fight against Semeleer. |
