Sounds like Belgaroui looked like shit in his Contender Series fight. He did not receive a contract despite winning.

Nothing shameful about losing to someone a step above. Takeru met the #1 p2p best striker of the planet right now. About Noiri: No japanese modern kickboxer has any business against any world elite 70kg kickboxer. Not now, not ever again. (Never again we will have another Masato). No shame on that. We've had a similar discussion before, but there have always been multiple high level Japanese fighters above 70kg. While it's true that high level fighters up to 65kg are more common, I don't see why another big talent cannot emerge above that treshold. Just might take a while. Thailand has Superbon and Sitthichai after Buakaw, China has Ouyan Feng, Liu Ce and probably a bunch of others I'm missing. If it happened before it can and will happen again eventually.

Sounds like Belgaroui looked like shit in his Contender Series fight. He did not receive a contract despite winning. I've only seen clips so I cannot speak on the overal quality of the fight, but Belgaroui did hit his opponent with an eyepoke which was bad enough he was deducted a point for it. He ended up winning by KO, but a foul like that - accidental or not - tends to leave a bad aftertaste. Not sure what's next, because I believe this was Belgaroui's second attempt to get in the UFC. He might try PFL/Bellator if he's adament about MMA and otherwise just return to Kickboxing while there's some time left to have another run in a division that fits him.

After the fight, Jaraya had his legs checked out at the hospital. Looks like the calf kicks took a toll on him.

I've been running behind on some podcasts and while I'm catching up on WarriorCode today I've heard Mory Kromah was penalized by Glory for dancing in Mo Amine's face pre-fight and counting in the ropes while Mo was being counted out.
That's really odd. The ref could and should have just held Kromah back when he entered the ring to prevent him from getting close to his opponent. That's kinda his job. Also, why penalize Kromah for counting alongside the ref?

Is Duut of a Romani background, like Holzken is? I am from an Irish Traveller background, so I have seen this play out before..

Yeah I think he is.
Many Dutch fighters have a similar background.
