LMAO! I wonder if those are the Bored Apes they personally own. I know Eminem has one and Snoop probably too. Wouldn't be suprised if the floor price pumps a little bit after this dropped.

Not sure if I shared this one before, but it's great:
While the context here is obviously comedic, or rather tragicomedic, the music is solid.
Nick Lutsko is a talented musician and comedian I've stumbled on by chance a while ago.

The best intro song of a cartoon that I never watched:
I just love this kind of stuff; optimistic, powerful, pushing. WOHOO

One of these songs I can always come back to. Maybe I can witness it live in Berlin soon.

Quit unrelated, but may I ask: Have you seen "Hajime No Ippo" yet?

Not yet, but it is on my list.
Unfortunately, my backlog of stuff to read/watch/play/do is kind of endless.

Serious question: Should I talk a little about it and try to hype it up for you or should I rather shut my mouth? Because it feels like hyping something up never works... but man, I just KNOW you would love it.

I've actually read into Hajime no Ippo a while ago, the manga, and watched some anime clips. It looks to be right up my alley and I'm pretty confident I'll like it. Alongside it on my list is a manga called Shamo, a dark story about a martial artist on a journey. It has a beautiful artstyle and seems pretty violent.
I tend to hype stuff up to my friends as well and it's a mixed bag, despite me having a decent sense of what they like. I think deep down people generally just don't like to be 'told' what to watch and have a hard time admitting someone was right.

I'm just the other way around. I like it when someone points to me something good. Another problem might be that you just create expactaions, and they might be too high. I've never heard about Shamo. Reading it up on Wikipedia... oh yeah, seems like it's very dark. Ippo on the other hand makes you smile. Also the Mangaka is definitely a Boxing fan. It touches on things like weight cutting, Boxing gear, classic Boxing fights, you name it.. It's not super realistic, but it is close. I just don't read much these days anyway. I actually purchased a couple of books of "Monster", which is like the best Seinen-Anime (I actually just learned that term while reading about "Shamo"). Most of it happens even in Germany, which is kinda funny. It's also so super good. I used to read so much. But since I got Tinnitus, I'm almost like afraid of reading, because I don't like these noises. It's kind of sad, because I know there is so much good stuff out there. I'm happy that I read Lord of the Rings in it's entirety, because that was just a journey. Anyway, I'll try to read more now. You know, it might sound pathetic, but thanks for still writing with me, even after I had some serious alcoholic rants, that I didn't mean. I just love Kakutougi and I want to thank you that you're keeping it alive.

No hard feelings man. Most of us know what it's like to go through tough times. Hell, just look at these past 2-3 years. There's light at the end of the tunnel and I hope you end up in a better place both mentally and physically.
Tinnitus seems to be very annoying depending on the activity and one's personal sensitivities, but I've read people suffering from it who like to read use some simple, yet effective solutions to break the discomfort that tends to come from absolute silence; the sound of a fan, environmental noise tracks etc. Of course I'm no expert, but perhaps it's worth experimenting in order to enable a fun hobby again.

Thanks man. To be honest, I'm fairly used to it though. Actually, I just read something a few weeks ago. A book called "Red Metal", which is a dissertation about the Metal sub culture in the DDR. Was pretty interesting and also pretty pricey, not sure why I stopped reading it, I might as well just be a bit lazy too.
