2 PPV main events in Canada for DJ within the last 12 months, and both times fans have left early during his bout in droves.
With all the tossing and turning in relation to bouts being pulled from the card entirely (Barao-Dillashaw II), to fights being on, then off, then suddenly back on again (Rampage-Maldonado) along with the fact a Canadian "name" was missing from the show meant that the Bell Centre, usually a gold mine for the UFC in terms of gate receipts and attendance numbers, was barely half full and pulled less than $1m at the gate.
Still, GLORY would kill for those numbers when they run live shows.

I'm only speaking for myself here, but my general interest in UFC cards nowadays is pretty much zero.
I'll watch a fight if I hear it was good and I'll watch a card live if it has 1-2 fights on it that genuinely interest me, but the majority of the times that's not the case.

Yeah, I have, or had a core of friends who would converge at my place for EVERY single UFC event (try as I might they would not buy into kickboxing, except for the 2009 and 2010 K-1 WGP Finals, which they loved) and most Strikeforce too, regardless of time of day circa 2008-2013 but then Zuffa took the FOX money (tabbed at anything from $70-$100m a year, so you can't blame 'em) and sandblasted us with quantity over quality and then the gatherings became more and more infrequent (doesn't help that one of the gang is languishing in a prison cell as I write this, but hey, that's his fault) to the point that the last year we only got together for one event (Big Nog vs Nelson in Dubai, strangely) and this year so far just the Jones-Cormier show. They don't care anymore. They see through the transparency of Rousey and detest McGregor and since the UFC's main objective this year and last year is to legit force it's fanbase to take these guy's to their hearts, buy their merch (McGregor even has his own personal merch link on their website and he hasn't even fought for a title yet, FFS) and order their fights above anyone elses, they feel there's nothing for them anymore.
Personally, I'm a glutton for punishment. I've watched every fight from every UFC show since about 2007. I watch more MMA than KB, although I prefer KB. But I watch more boxing than both MMA and KB.

I watch more pro wrestling anymore than anything. yeah... lol. war NJPW. I forget about a lot of ufc cards anymore due to the over saturation. I watched this event though. DJ is a great champion. and I was really curious if Horigiuchi could pull something off even though I was pretty sure that was a no. and it was. but I had no other interest in the card at all.
