Holzken wins by TKO R3 and wins the contender tournament. This was an entertaining affair though. Props to Daniels for hanging in there longer than I would have expected.
Holzken VS Valtellini II soon I guess.

Lots of respect between Holzken and Daniels, good stuff.

That at least turned out to be a decent fight. Main event next.

Up Next:
The Main Event
Heavyweight Title Fight Rico Verhoeven VS Errol Zimmerman III

I just realized this is 5 rounds. That should give Errol more time to score a KO, since I don't see Rico putting Errol down.

Round 1: Errol comes out aggressive, looking to throw down and Rico throws down with him! Errol looks tagged. Fighters clinch up and are broken up. Errol looks hurt. They throw down again and Errol goes down! Rico punches Errol on his way down. Errol beats the count, fight continues. Errol looks wobbly. They brawl again and the round ends.

Round 2: Rico completely dominates Errol who doesn't really look like he wants to be there anymore. Errol throws a spinning back kick that doesn't land and Rico pushes him off. Errol falls down and screams in pain. Ref counts Errol out. Looks like Errol blew his knee out and doesn't seem to be able to stand up. Verhoeven helps Errol to his feet.
Verhoeven defends his title and wins by TKO R2. Errol seems to be in horrible pain.
This is the worst ending ever to an otherwise entertaining event.

I have no words for that. The fight should have been over right away, when Errol didn't made the count. Bush league.

I'm actually a bit suprised that you'd call that an entertaining event. I think I'm not going to watch another Glory event live for quit some time. Commercial overkill, terrible officiating, ridicilous matchmaking decisions (Ristie put on a barely available undercard), worshipping of some random soldiers, almost no visible show elemtens in the broadcast. Ugh. This felt like really dumbed and watered down Kickboxing to me.

We knew all of that in advance. Have you watched a Glory event live before? It's not a good idea to watch these shows expecting a classic K-1 event. Not even Last Man Standing came even remotely close to that. Not in the slightest.
I was still entertained by most of the fights.

Nah, I've only watched that NYE event live, the 16 men tourney. And no, I wasn't expecting a classic K-1 event. oO
Don't get me wrong, it's nice that you enjoyed it, but I simply didn't. And if you are fair, some of the points I made could have been easily avoided, and Glory already did better than this before.

The 16 man tournament was one of Glory's biggest events ever. Since Glory 18 we are watching Glory Light edition.
I'm not saying I don't agree with your criticism. I'm not a Glory fan to begin with. I'm a fan of kickboxing though, and I thought this show had some fun fights. The entertainment value of the fights is basically the only thing I (can) judge Glory events on anymore at this point.

Well, we better get used to that anyway, right? I mean, isn't that how Spike and Glory most likely want to do buisness anyway? Putting on very "TV friendly" shows, who are rather short, with the emphasis on just a couple of fights, and lots of commercials inbetween? Basically how Bellator was all the time. I don't even think that this would be that bad (if I don't have to sit trough all the bullshit, commercials etc.) if they manage to run things smoothly and put on a decent amount of shows a year.
Honestly, what putted me off with this event were some of the smaller details, as you could read in my posts here in this thread.
