Well shit. They should bring in Roman Kryklia. Just had a pretty great performance on Tatneft. Guarantee he'd beat the crap out of Vigney.

Guarantee he'd beat the crap out of Vigney. That should easily be done by Daniel Sam as well. Do you guys think Glory could go as far as to fix some of these fights in a last desperate attempt to stay afloat in the US?

Depends on what falls under your definition of fixing.
Hometown advantages when it goes to the judges and North American fighters getting chances that should go to better fighters from elsewhere? Absolutely.
Actually paying fighters to take a dive? Not so much.

Absolutely. Actually paying fighters to take a dive? Not so much. I don't see American judges having this sort of bias, to be honest. Why? Because American judges are hilariously inept at judging combat sports no matter what. American judges are set by the local athletic commission and the promotion itself has no control over them, unlike a lot of other promotions who individually hire them. As for paying fighters to take a dive? No. The way things are run in America that is a crime and is treated fairly seriously. If a promoter paid someone to take a dive and it somehow became public (because really, who can trust a fighter?) the promoter can lose their license, face hefty fines or possibly even jail time.

Wanna make Vigney a champ? Easy as apple pie. Go and ask Verhoeven to take a significant pay cut, then just cut him once he refuses. Book Vigney vs Pat Barry for the vacant title as a main event, live on Spike. There you go. US Heavyweight Champion and a new superstar is born

I think that it's kinda foolish and shitty to just write Vigney off as possibly being okay in the future, which a lot of people are doing. I think that fighting on this level he'll never really look great. He would've benefited from competing in those European B-level fights and stuff, most likely.
He did amateur stuff here stateside but it's mostly a joke (I mean, I did it years ago and was just crushing out of shape dudes).

I might do a Live Event Discussion tonight, but my hype levels for this event are pretty much non-existing.

295k viewers for Glory23, looks like the american stars Vigney and Jacoby failed badly on the viewership numbers. I don't want Glory to die, i really don't! But i also don't want to see undercard fights forced in to the main event just because they are muricans

Funny thing is if you switch around most of the fights of the Main Card and SFS you have a fine looking card all around.
The event wasn't half bad though, their ratings are inconsistent because - and this is my interpretation - they just take too long breaks between events and they don't make you care about fights/fighters.
