Conference about regulating full contact fighting sports in The Netherlands

Unfortunately, kickboxing reaches the news very often in a negative way. Mainly because of incidents at events, links with criminal organisations and health risks. The primer cause for this is the high level of organizational fragmentation of large and smaller sports associations and the lack of (self-) regulating. The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport has asked NOC * NSF, to come to a safe orderly and well-organized full- contact martial arts industry. Thereby achieving a more positive image and greater social acceptance. Ernesto Hoost, Marloes Coenen and Lucia Rijker will be involved in this progressive plan.
