Holzken connects with a big knee that completely cuts Daniels' eyelid open and the fight is waved off.
I really liked this fight and this is an unfortunate ending, especially since it could still go either way.
Nieky Holzken defends his title and defeats Raymond Daniels by TKO in R3.
Holzken improves to 9-0 in Glory.

I seriously doubt this fight could have went either way. To me it looked like Daniels went ALL IN, from the first second. And Nieky was fighting smart, properly conserving his energy. That's why Daniels scored a bit more in the first round. But that was for him. You could see him slow down considerably from the 2nd already.

I gotta say Daniels is a fast learner though and improved leaps and bounds since his first Glory fight.
Guys, I didn't expect to be saying this, but this event was okay.
Perhaps it was because I went in with low expectations, but it was still able to top them which is always good.
Thanks for joining guys!

Still Daniels was far from finished though and arguably ahead on points at the moment he got cut. It was too early to count him out already, even though I would've put my money on Holzken.

You're way too generous with Daniels today, i'm not sure he deserves it just for barely winning 1 round (don't believe he won the 2nd)

Let's say Daniels won round 1 and round 2 was a tie (which is how I would've scored it), it still puts Daniels ahead on points in Round 3 with 20-19.

Yes, you are right! But it was an all in Daniels vs a conservative and smart Nieky. His gameplan gave Raymond the chance to shine a bit. Nieky could have went the same route and most probably destroy Daniels in 1, maybe 2 rounds. But going hard like that has it's risks. So he chose the sure route, let's Daniels give his best the first 2 rounds, then smash him in the last 3 rounds. All in all, Daniels did looked considerably improved compared to his last fight (on his boxing at least). I still say he is quite far from Nieky's level. Edit: going back to sleep, good ... night? It's already morning but 3h are definitely not enough.
