Well we know now how that ended, Lentie didn't look to hot early on then lost by a cut. Kryklia looked good.
However, more recently Kryklia lost to Tarik Khbabez, looking pretty bad while Khbabez looked the best he ever has. Perhaps Khbabez is one to watch as well if he doesn't fade into obscurity.
On to what I actually wanted to post in here: I think Fabio Kwasi is another promising HW. He arguably defeated Bogdan Stoica in SuperKombat last year and just won the WFL HW Tournament, defeating Brian Douwes in the process. I believe he's only like 20 years old.

Kryklia didn't look too good in the Khbabez fight true. He did beat Wilnis after that fight which nobody seems to know or at least acknowledge. Not quite giving up on him yet I do think that for now at least, Kryklia is pretty beatable by an aggressive/pressure fighter though. Still has a lot to learn. Khbabez most recently lost to the Kornilov dude who'll be on Glory.

bumpbump
Kryklia beat Vanneste and Lentie in a 4-man qualifier tournament in france. Should then be fighting some 4-man final later on with Voronin and Oborotov qualified into it so far.
He should also be fighting Wilnis for the 3rd time (they're 1-1) at the Kunlun HW tournament. Looks like he has enough fights lined up this year keep plenty active and at least some quality fights there too. Could be the year he either becomes one of the more "main" HW guys...or doesn't.

I saw on Facebook Kryklia and Vanneste were scheduled to fight, did you see it?

Nope. Think it was only on the Luxembourg/French Kombat Sport channel that nobody can possibly see anywhere outside some French speaking countries. They show some nice events every now and then and never see any footage

Occasionally you can catch the odd stream for some of those events when they happen to air on a somewhat big French network. Some shows/promotions could definitely use better (live) coverage.

I think Kryklia might be a step (or maybe a knee) above Kwasi though. No good reason, just a feeling.

I don't know about that. They'd have to fight. Put them in a tournament or something. You could probably WAIT A MINUTE!

Wow I never knew Kryklia beat Wilnis. If he fought Rico tomorrow I wouldn't rule out him winning. Ben Saddik has been a disappointment. Physically gifted yet can't put it to good use.
