I stopped watching Pro wrestling in 2008 if I recall corectly, so punk was just the new guy who was build up in the big league. He was good with his kicks and was very agile. But he is already old, no any martial arts background and isn't a psychical specimen like brock or bobby leashly. Also at HW, brock and bobby were helped by their athleticism and incredible wrestling backrounds. At mw the division is a lot more strong and you need technique, vitality and experience. You need to be all rounded.
I hope he does well, but I don't think he will win any fight if they don't pay his opponent to lose. It's too late for him. Training Bjj with grace for a few years wouldn't help that much today.

cm punk has a HUGE following. HUGE. this was done to sell PPVs. he says hes been training bjj and has had a lifelong background in kenpo. so hes done SOMETHING. Cole Miller is pretty sold on him, who has trained with him a lot from what I gather. im excited. he is 36 yrs old though. so I don't think it will go far. but shit im down with it PRIDE did this shit all the time and I loved it. Love when someone crosses over from kayfabe to real.
