What I've read so far is the high amount of early stoppages came from a combination of upsets and mismatches, which isn't unusual for Japanese New Year's events.
General consensus seems to be that this was a highly entertaining event.
As long as we get competitive fights once the regular season of Rizin starts next year, I'm perfectly fine with this.

I only watched the 2 hour edited show on Fuji TV, but on the whole really enjoyed it. Horrible to watch Aoki-Sakuraba though.

they let a fight go on and then ruled the fight a no contest since someone missed weight? lol. Im guessing the offender was the one that "won" the fight and then had it taken away.
