It might be the nostalgia in me, but I really like seeing Artur climbing up the rankings again. Promotional stuff probably means he won't get the chance to dethrone Nieky, but good on him.

Fucking hell.
If I explained how we compiled these rankings it almost wouldn't make sense. Jay and myself have a conversation for like 2+ hours where we look at everyone. If someone doesn't have a wiki (Ozcan), it can be a nightmare. So Ozcan beat Kiria and honestly Ozcan's loss was so fleeting that it was just whatever.
But no, that needs to be fixed. Updated.

I think its a good list. Esp with HW & LHW, there's been so many recent drop outs from the top ranks that I appreciate having a list of guys and their relative standing.

Kiria and Ristie, guys who fought for the Glory title a couple years ago - now completely out of top 10. Not many other weight classes where such a thing would happen.
Chinese now have a fighter in pretty much all the weight classes they will, for the most part anyway. Tougher thing to get legit HW's and such.

They don't get that. "but there are better fighters". Also in the Kunlun rankings he was like 20th or something, so confusing! Should probably add disclaimers in Chinese...and Arabic for the Hari fans, Romanian for SK ones and Thai for Buakaws and such He probably will drop pretty quickly. Good thing about the Kunlun tournament field is new names like his aren't very likely to just inactively stay lingering on there. He either has to beat some more guys at fairly regular intervals or someone unranked beats him and takes his place. |

New rankings will be up soon! Awesome. Top 3 things I look forward to from the upcoming top 10 lists - People complaining that Ghita, Saki and Spong aren't on the lists despite them being collectively 0-0 since April 2015 - People complaining no matter how Sittichai's loss to Superbon is reconciled (i.e. 'Waah waah, you can't ignore China fights' or 'Waah waah, who is Superbon') - Gonnapar Weerasakrek, Matt Embree and Charles Bennett... TOP 5 FWs Unrelated, but wonder if there will ever be a p4p list. Yes, I know that they are stupid in every shape or form, but surely something has to be done to recognize Koya Urabe since his weight class isn't ranked. I mean, guy 30-27'd Karim Bennoui and 1RKO'd Taiga on the same night. |
