Hayashi comes back with a vengeance and knocks Takeuchi down multiple times for the ref to stop it and the TKO victory in Round 1.

Nearing 600k viewers!
That's a lot of people for such an unfavorable timeslot.

Cool seeing Nicholas Pettas around a K-1 again.

Nearing 600k viewers! That's a lot of people for such an unfavorable timeslot. Lots of good news on the K-1 front. They've been breaking records. Their last event was the most watched sports content on Abema by a factor of 4 or something. Helped by the fact that Abema TV itself is really catching on and almost becoming a TV channel of sorts.

Cool seeing Nicholas Pettas around a K-1 again. Pettas was one of those guys I just liked back in the old days of K-1. He had a ton of unfortunate stuff happen to him (what with the leg breaks and Ignashov and that weird JLB fight), but he always struck me as being super classy and strong spirited.

Yeah, unfortunately Pettas was always very injury prone.
I really liked how he went toe-to-toe with Aerts back in 2007 I believe.

You can see Uehara has trouble with this somewhat more natural heavyweight in Koichi after having fought some blown up lighter guys in his past few fights.

As much hate as we gave Koichi, to his credit he did survive JLB once. Sloppy, but this is top level so far as Japanese 80kgers go. Sad

Uehara takes the decision. I think the last flurry won him the fight as it was a toss up before that.
