The first higher lvl fight of Haye since his return and it might be kind of a "test", cuz he is now against someone that is not a punching bag and comes to win the fight at all cost, cuz he just ... hates him David takes him lightly and there is a reason for that because of their gap of skills, but he forgets about his will power, the guy is nuts and hates him deeply. It should be a fun fight.

Here is the full press conference if someone is interested. Man, this is definitely the most insane press conference i have ever witnessed. It was like actual ring fight with all those guys shouting around. David Haye gains lot of hate in England from the fans, because he ducked Shannon Briggs and high lvl title fights to fight cans instead. There are also rumors that his comeback is because he was short on money and is looking for one big pay day vs Anthony Joshua. All this negative energy seems to get to him and you can feel it in his speeches, they are full of anger. This is the most vicious David Haye i have ever seen in press conferences and interviews. Usually in the past he used to be more chilled, calm and play it cool at press conferences..
There is also Behind the Ropes documentary that i watched yesterday about the fight but couldn't find it today on youtube.

A lot needs to be written about this fight as there are a lot of angles to look at it from, and I myself have plenty to type but will ultimately end up chasing my shadow and not making too much sense. So instead I will simply post a list of questions, that I don't necessarily want answering, just my feelings leading into the fight:
Why does Matchroom insist on hosting these "open" press conferences (and usually in cities where the fans are known to be particularly...erm...lively), giving free reign for members of the public to lambast and ridicule the opposing fighter?
Why were so many people quick to criticise David Haye for reacting in the manner that he did, in the face of nasty, personal and continuous abuse for the length of the "conference"?
Why has Tony Bellew decided to take the moral high road ever since Haye clipped him at their first face to face presser? He's been quick to jump on any Haye swear word, verbal mis step and even his parenting skills ever since he failed to see Haye's shot coming. This is coming from a man who has ticked every single box when it comes to the realms of taking the sport into disrepute ranging from threatening behaviour at press conferences and weigh in's, swearing on live TV and revels in his 'Scouse hard man/nutcase' persona but gets away with it every single time as "he's only selling a fight". Now he has found himself up against somebody who is willing to play the game alongside him, and he seems to be more than a little shaken by it.
Why has David Haye decided to forego mandatory VADA drug testing by removing himself from the WBC's ratings?
On a recent interview on IFL, why did Tony Bellew ask why Haye has been visiting Germany a lot recently, insinuating some kind of blood doping is going on (as I understand it)?
Are Haye's luxurious training camp videos from Miami indicative of somebody who really is lording it and not taking Bellew seriously or are they a clever attempt at trolling the trio of Bellew, Matchroom and Sky Box Office by pretending to barely prepare and appear almost laissez-faire in his outlook for a much publicised PPV event against a hated rival for a promoter that he has little time for and will still turn up at 70% and be able to win easily?
Will the losing run, David Price recently ran out of steam against Christian Hammer and Gavin McDonnell came up short against Rey Vargas last weekend, of Bellew's trainer, Dave Coldwell, continue with this fight?
Are Sky merely using this fight as an advertisement for a rumoured Haye-Joshua fight at Wembley Stadium in the late summer (should Joshua topple sad Wlad in April)?
Would UK Anti Doping make the trip to travel to Miami,FL for drug testing purposes?

I was already interested in this fight, but these questions are very intriguing and really bump up my interest going in to this.

It's been around 15 years of silence in this division since the last undisputed heavyweight champion reign (Lennox Lewis) and now with all those characters in the face of David Haye (former heavyweight & undisputed cruiserweight champion giving one last go for his goal to unify the heavyweight division, since his failed attempt in 2011), Shannon Briggs (talented veteran in the sport, that had no amateur experience in boxing and jumped directly in the wolf mouth, suffering from astma, facing the likes of George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Ray Mercer, Vitali Klitschko winning two world titles on the road, but had many disappointing performances, now at the age of 46 wanting to prove that those two title wins were not luck, winning a third one in his next fight vs Fres Oquendo), Joseph Parker (prospect that already won the WBO world title), Luis Ortiz (feared southpaw cuban heavyweight, hightly technical and powerful, about to challenge for a world title in his next fight i believe?), Anthony Joshua (knockout machine with impressive physical attributes), Deontay Wilder (Wild knockout machine with poor technical skills, but attractive style of fighting) and the closest thing in the heavyweight boxing to Muhammad Ali that we might get - Tyson Fury if he ever returns to the ring again.
This division is easily moving the boxing as a sport right now after quite awhile.

As a boxing noob, I feel the division took a bit of a hit with Fury going on hiatus. However, there is a bunch of exciting matchups to be made even without Fury and at least for the immediate future, boxing's HW division looks interesting.
