Sidenote: Man, Kyshenko looks like a beast. Would be awesome to see him take on Doumbé at some point.

Poor bastards still all seemed unaware Allazov is winning the tournament. God bless.

I'm not disagreeing with Allazov being a favorite - on paper. 8 man tournaments usually hold some surprises though and my gut feeling is that Allazov won't win the whole thing. Sometimes I can trust my gut, lol

SuperFights Saikyo Haruma defeats Ozawa Kaito by Unanimous Decision Hiramoto Ren defeats Umar Paskhaev by Unanimous Decision
Undercard Katsuya Jinbo defeats Uchiyama Masato by KO R1 Takeuchi Yuki defeats Tabata Ryo by KO R1 Suzuki Hayato defeats Koge Yuki by KO R2 Saikyo Yuma defeats Kawaguchi Takuma by Unanimous Decision
Overall this was another great event. Here's a quick list that sums up my thoughts:
Pros - Lots of KO's and knockdowns - Allazov - Kido - Kido's VTR - Takeru - Wei Rui - Most of the fights - Taro-Kun and the new Stadium Pokémon
Cons - Noiri Masaaki vs. Kaew Weerasakreck: The Fight - Noiri Masaaki vs. Kaew Weerasakreck: The Decision after 3 rounds - Title fights really need to be 5 rounders. Other than the Takeru fight they all would have benefited from it. - I caught via Twitter that the broadcasting team was riding Gonnapar instead of Wei Rui: Subtle racism is still BS!

Post-Fight presser:
Allazov looks like a Russian gangster with those sunglasses. I wonder what kind of questions they asked Noiri.

I wonder what kind of questions they asked Noiri. Q. Please give us your impression looking back on the fight yesterday. A. Well, I can't say I'm really feeling that this is real to me yet. On the fight itself, I might have gotten the win, but in terms of my performance I see only things to reflect and improve upon. I've heard that from the fans themselves, well yesterday is done. I would like to show them something different in my fights as a champion going forward. Q. You mentioned you had regrets about the fight. Can you tell us why you think were able to win and what those regrets were? A. How can I say this. I think I was too focused on winning and not enough on throwing volume. In general I think I was too passive. I suppose I was able to win because my focus on winning overruled [my wish to be active]. Q. Kaew mentioned also that he would like to take the belt back from you. Do you feel like a rematch will happen? A. Yes. I think everyone would want to see this rivalry settled clearly. Kaew and I are now 1-1, so I feel like as champion I'm obliged to take Kaew's challenge and put on a fight that makes it clear that I am the rightful winner. Q. As a champion, you will be participating in the Krush Nagoya event in August. How do you feel about that? A. Well Nagoya Krush is an event that started because I suggested it. I'm really looking forward to it and I plan on attending Nagoya Krush as a champion for years to come. There is a lot of pressure associated with it, but its the Champ's duty to perform under that condition. My opponent is going to be another foreign fighter, but as a K-1 champion I promise to defeat him. Please watch. Q. Putting aside Kaew for a moment, there's a lot of great contenders in this weight class. Anyone else you're interested in? A. Well there are a lot of great fighters both domestically and overseas... I don't want to fight him up because he's been very good to me outside the ring, but I've lost to (Yamato) Tetsuya-kun before in muay thai and want to get my revenge... But there are a lot of guys out there, if I start listing names there's no end.
