OP Updated: Xavier Vigney out due to injury, Mohamed Abdallah in. Harut Grigorian out due to injury, Alan Scheinson in. Oh BTW in case it wasn't mentioned yet. Verhoeven vs. Lazaar will be 5 rounds. When asked why, Rico said Glory aims for every main event to be a 5 rounder, title fight or not. Just like the UFC. He said the reason Badr was a 3 rounder was that Badr didn't agree to 5 rounds.

ESPN and Glory can market Lazaar in the States as "the Roy Nelson of kickboxing!" Seriously though, Lazaar doesn't come off as an asshole like some other popular Dutch-Moroccan fighters (ie Badr and Jaraya) and that's a good thing to help avoid (Dutch-)Moroccan fighters being generalized. Also, I'm imagining Murthel kidnapping children and making them hit bags. He's scary enough to pull off that vibe. |

Sucks for Hesdy. Even if they find some late replacement it wouldn't be as good as beating Chi silly. He has played it pretty well for himself though with the "Chi has to fight me next" thing I think. Hope Glory takes advantage of it all for Hesdy and yeah enough with Chi now hopefully.

I saw it this morning and my gut reaction was that Glory needs to cut Chi.
Not sure if he actually has a legit injury or not, but as far as I'm concerned he should have fought the first time to begin with. Must be terribly frustrating for Hesdy.

I talked to Chi the other night and he needs surgery, but, he has this weird grievance with Glory but he refuses to let us post about it for now. I hope he changes his mind because it's bonkers.

Either way the one getting fucked over is Hesdy for the umpteeth time. First Glory screws him over by stealing away clear wins from him as far as I'm concerned (Guto Inocente, Ismael Londt) then Chi stands him up twice in a row.
