I think RvR definitely took some damage (even visbibly), but it wasn't enough to make a significant difference in the scoring or the way Robin kept going forward.

The thai looked better to me in the first two rounds but after that he started clinching more and more and only hitting Robin's forearm. No matter how you look at it, this is not the way to win a kb fight. And if this will ever be a way to win a kb fight, i will stop watching this sport.

I keep mentioning this damage thing, cuz according to the GLORY rules, we are watching 1) Knockdowns, 2) Damage and is just funny to me how the more damaged guy wins the fight after there were no knockdowns.

I think if prime saki fought this rico would have finished him. Rico looks pretty bad in this fight.

I wouldn't say Rico looks bad, but Lazaar did manage to tag him a few times.

Rico should work on his boxing more... almost all his punches missed. His kicks and clinch game were great as always. Also lazzar jabbed him in the first 3 rounds way to many times for a fighter that is 20 cm shorter.

GLORY 41 - Den Bosch - SuperFight Series
Rico Verhoeven defeats Ismael Lazaar by Unanimous Decision
Robin van Roosmalen defeats Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao by Majority Decision
Murthel Groenhart defeats Alan Scheinson by Split Decision
Mourad Bouzidi defeats Michael Duut by Disqualification (headbutts & clinching)
Tyjani Beztati defeats Youssef Assouik by Unanimous Decision (30-26)
Zakaria Zouggary defeats Yetkin Özkul by Unanimous Decision
First two fights were really fun. Bouzidi/Duut had an unfortunate ending caused by Duut's behaviour. Another one of those lesser performances by Murthel in a fight you'd expect him to win by KO. RvR/Petchpanomrung was the big surprise for me. Not the prettiest fight, but I didn't expect RvR to have much trouble at all when he clearly did. Lazaar vs Verhoeven went more or less like expected. Lazaar survived and was able to tag Rico a few times, but that's about it.
All in all a decent event, but the later fights never really reached the entertainment level of Beztati/Assouik and Zouggary/Özkul.
