LOL to be honest I didn't think the positive PED test would actually affect tomorrow's Enfusion card and Lazaar would fight, simply because this is Holland/Europe and here people don't really give a shit about rules & regulations. At least not when it comes to kickboxing.

It sounds like glory fucked them over. ISKA is a glory partner, so they kept this secret because it wasn't in glory interest. Now that enfusion is suing glory and talks trash about them, they released Lazzar results one day before the event to fuck their event.
LOL, that's cold from glory.

LOL, that's cold from glory. idk I was more thinking, when I thought this was a recent test, that maybe testing Lazaar was a little nudge from FOG. For somewhat trying to ignore their bans with Jaraya and whoever else it was that got suspended when he smacked that judge. Now I think it just more looks like nobody in kickboxing really gives a fuck about any PED things and people don't communicate. Or maybe Euros were jealous of the fighting in Japan, wanted some of that here and ISKA/Glory decided to fuck with Enfusion.

Emei says they have/are establishing a partnership with RISE so that ties in there with the whole tryhard/K-1 thing.

Dutch kickboxing is such a dumpster fire.
Honestly, who gives a fuck about PEDs anymore? Weight-cutting is a million times worse for fighters. I dunno, I used to give a shit about PEDs, but at this point, eh? It's not like fighters are doing anything safe anyway. If they wish to fuck with their cardiovascular system that's on them.

The governing bodies and such are just such a fucking mess worldwide.
Heyyy we started our own thing because those other guys in that other org only do shady shit and everything is so political there. Then said org goes and just does their own shady political shit.

In general I support drug testing, but there's things that need to happen first. We're still in an age where more often than not your fight purse isn't in escrow, if you're going to regulate something to the extent that you can take away their livelihood for infringement, then you've got to do the reverse and secure their livelihood in the first place. Without that there's no incentive to not just disappear into another region.

Emei says they have/are establishing a partnership with RISE so that ties in there with the whole tryhard/K-1 thing. Yeah Hiroya and Matsukura Shintaro have fought there a few times so they probably have a relationship with TRY HARD. One obvious thing on I've missed on the whole RIZIN thing (but has not escaped notice of the broader Japan fanbase). Sakakibara is saying that the next card is going to be tighter at 10ish fights and has already announced 3 kickboxing fights. So the event is 30% kickboxing! Not just that, these aren't the throwaway 'lets have the Yamato Tetsuya cause we're in Nagoya/Yuuki cause we're in Fukuoka' type prelims they were setting up before to sell tickets to locals. These are maincard fights featuring Nasukawa Tenshin (funny how all talks of him doing MMA have died out eh) and two random RISE fighters with no ties to the area. That matchmaking makes no sense as a TV focused MMA promotion. But a lot of fans are reading this as "Tenshin's management/RISE is realizing just how much leverage they have on RIZIN by controlling their biggest star and is pushing to turn them into a kickboxing promotion featuring their stable talent" It sounds like a conspiracy, I know, but consider this. RIZIN's biggest sponsor is Cygames--a maker of mobile games which are basically a license to print money in Japan. It was huge when they were able to grab them as a sponsor in 2016 and the NYE event was named 'Cygames presents RIZIN Fighting World GP'. They had those tacky Cygames dragon logos everywhere including the belt they gave Mirko. You jump into 2017 though and Cygames has signed a personal sponsorship with Tenshin and their name is only seen on the Kickboxing portion of their events. Clearly they were more interested in latching Tenshin onto their brand than with supporting RIZIN in full. Imagine if that was true though. Then Tenshin's gravity didn't just collapse K-1's big main event, its also warping and corrupting RIZIN from the inside. Who else in Japan has been able to do something like that. Yeah K-1 MAX and K-1 Japan bent over backwards to appease Masato and Takeru. But while those two might get favorable treatment, they never went out of their way to make demands (save maybe Masato breaking the 8 man tournament in 2008) and utilized their full leverage. Scary stuff for a kid to be doing at age 19. RIZIN might have thought they were being coy in bringing Tenshin onboard to put pressure on K-1, but its as if they'd invited a wolf in their midst to ward off the coyotes. That sounds awful and pretty petty, so yeah sounds reasonable for kickboxing.

Between scummy promoters and scummy gyms, there's way too many ways for fighters to get fucked over. Progress has been happening (at least in Japan, Sato Yoshihiro has kicked off a kickboxer's fighter's association to enforce clear contracts), but hardly enough.

Like the FOG magically commuting Jaraya's sentence after he switched from an Enfusion gym to a GLORY gym?

Honestly, this whole thing reeks of the usual Dutch kickboxing bullshit. I've been asking around and nobody in GLORY knows what this is about at all. They know nothing about a failed drug test. So I'm not sure it's from the ISKA, who would have reported it to GLORY, not to Anoop or Enfusion. People need to stop listening to these clearly-planted stories that always paint Enfusion in the most positive of lights or as victims. There's probably a Dutch GLORY employee or two that likes to do the same, but fuck. It's all the same names from the Golden Glory vs. It's Showtime years and it's just as stupid. I've casually reached out about this story to a few sources and nobody knows what it is, which tells me it probably came from somewhere in the realm of bullshit.

Okay, no grudges there.

I don't think that he invented it, I think that someone told him this story and knew that he'd run it. He got played and it's not difficult to see where it originated from.
