Kickboxing/WAKO got IOC’s provisional recognition. Doubt we'll actually get to see kb in the Olympics but who knows!

Main event just ended, most important notes:
Varga knocked out Cangelosi in R1, Daniels barely beat Laaouatni by Majority Decision (entertaining fight though) and Bessmertny comfortably beat Ghajji.
Not gonna watch the MMA portion, just tuning in for Hesdy's MMA debut and if I manage to stay up tune in for Wilder/Fury.

Yang Zhuo vs. Kulebin for the group win was a fun fight. Group winners going forward to a 4-man then should be: Yang Zhuo, Jomthong, Hasan Toy and Petchtanong. Don't know when it's changed but they also had a different English announcer now. I have fucking hated the previous guy so much. Dude used to try and speak cool-sounding English to the Chinese audience and ended up just speaking gibberish half the time. This guy actually says words in English  |

I guess I will watch WLF before Fury vs Wilder starts. |

Za "German" Ilunga embarrassed kickboxing against some MMA fatty. Please, enlighten me. For proper context; apparently Danyo Ilunga was knocked out by James McSweeney yesterday. You do realize that McSweeney was a kickboxer before he crossed over to MMA, right? He also had a kickboxing fight earlier this year, which he also won by KO. Does that mean McSweeney should have beaten Ilunga, even if Ilunga took that fight on 4 weeks notice? No, this is definitely an upset. In no way does that mean Ilunga 'embarassed kickboxing' though. McSweeney fought in K-1 before Ilunga even went pro. Also, what's with the quotes referring to him as "German" Ilunga? By that logic should I refer to Benjamin as "Romanian" Adegbuyi? No wait, he represents your country so then it's okay for you to be selective. For someone who claims discrimination all the time you sure are a textbook example of what it looks like yourself. |

While after this we still have some events left and right and Rizin's NYE show to look forward to, this is pretty much the last big fight weekend of the year, the season ender.
I may just watch all of it. It's been a while since I've done that.

It was nothing at all about his nationality. I wanted to place "Za" or "Za German". Regarding Adegbuyi, he has half Romanian blood and was born in Romania where he lived and is still living. Ilunga born in Congo, from Congolese parents. Although my remark was nothing at all about nationality. Ilunga losing to "McSweeney" is just bad, McFatty "the kickboxer". Be serious, he gave up on kickboxing because he was way too mediocre! When he beat Michael McDonald, McDonald was only fighting for the money. Far from his prime. Ilunga managed to embarrass the kickboxing world and it happened in Germany on his soil. He also just fought Vakhitov. |
