I just stumbled upon this on Sherdog (apparently Yuta Kubo did an announcement on his Facebook page): Apparently there'll be a featherweight tournament to decide a champion and it will start on November 3rd. I wonder to what degree this ties in with K-1 Global.

Saw this pop up on Sherdog: K-1 WORLD LEAGUE 65Kg Tournament HIROYA (Japan) vs. Michael Thompson (Australia) Soda Yasuomi (Japan) vs. Kimura Minoru (Brazil) Yamazaki Hideaki (Japan) vs. Kaew Fairtex (Thailand) Kubo Yuta (Japan) vs. Raz Sarkisjan (Armenia) Also, there's a lot of activity on their Facebook page lately! I wonder why K-1 Global does not comment on this..

K-1 World League is supposed to be working with K-1 Global but have been less-than-communicative, go figure.
EDIT: By that I mean the Japanese are not responding to the Chinese.

Weird. I'm reading reports that they specifically even changed the name of the event to K-1 WORLD GP 2014~-65kg as the result of consulting it with K-1 Global and some fighters on the card seem like they were recommended by them (K-1 Global) like Kerrith Bhella.

That literally just happened today! They are apparently working well together now.
