I cant read the name Takei without thinking of George Takei. "Mr. Sulu, set phasers to KO!"

Komiyama tried, but he just didn't have an answer for Takeru.

I'm sure Hirotaka is happy for Takeru and Koya, but it must hurt to go out in the first round like that. He's had a lot of trouble finding consistency.

Yeah Komiyama doesn't have the tools to keep a pressure fighter of that calibre off of him, but valiant effort to get him to walk onto a kick. He's got really impressive dexterity in his legs but seems like he could do with training outside of his dad's dojo for his hands

Takeru broke him.
Apparently Hirotaka implied he's retiring in the post-fight presser.
Some waning in the midpoint, but this tournament defo lived up to expectations.

This is it guys, the 9 hour marathon has ended. Honestly, other than the uncomfortable starting time I was fine and the length of the event wasn't an issue.
This was a great event with tons of WTF moments and upsets (in a good way) My only minor gripe is that between main card parts 1 and 2 there was a stretch of 8 fights that went to a decision that could have used some KO's.
And it would have been cool if Melsik, Hinata and Plazibat would have performed better.
Other than that it was all good though.
Thanks everybody for joining and for the few that were in here from start to finish you are troopers!
