linkOh please no... Seeing that glory even retweeted his tweet gives me the horror... Guto is the last fighter that I want to see getting a title shot. It will be so boring ... plus he doesn't have a the style to beat rico. He is going to get out point in a very boring decision. Just give Rico Badr... or Benny hell even Jahfarr wilnis.

If I were writing a book on the history of kickboxing, Guto Innocente fighting for the HW title would be the chapter I dedicate to talking about the final passing of the HW division from relevance in the sport. The equivalent of 476 and the abdication of Romulus Augustulus in the narrative of the fall of Rome.

Rico and Overeem were created in the same lab, but one got all the finishing instincts and the other got a gas tank

I enjoyed Harut/Nabiyev. It was more competitive than everybody expected and while the scoring made it appear more one-sided than it actually was, I feel the right man was awarded the win. What I personally would have hated was had this fight actually played out as the easy Nabiyev win everyone was expecting. As for Rico/Brestovac 2. Yeah, like some people mentioned before it was pretty much a repeat of their first fight. Nothing unexpected, though: Brestovac was never gonna win this on points. His only chance was to land something big like that left highkick as early as possible. I think I'm just not a fan of his style at all. It's like van Roosmalen without the flair or accuracy. It's messy. Not technical. It's the kind of style that woos judges to make weird decisions. It's especially glaring when there are guys at WW that are so much better at everything. Nabiyev didn't look great, but usually does, Nieky is a lot more technical, as is Doumbe. I guess I just don't see Harut being a very long-term champion unless he shores up these holes. I still think Harut won the fight, but 3-2, not 5-0.

It's just part of the fight game; you can pull up any dominant champion's record and see that not every defense is against a stellar guy, its what happens when you clean a division out I expected Badr to call him out after that win over Hesdy actually; surprised he didn't
