So I guess we do have a standing 8 count again in Glory based on what happened in this second prelim fight? Seems like it's entirely up to the individual referee to use it or not. Even the commentators are confused about this from card to card. I may be wrong here, but doesn't the 'no standing 8 counts' apply mostly to US cards depending on the rules of their state's athletic commissions? That's one of the more silly things on Glory broadcasts. "We here at Glory don't have standing eig...oh well you see the ref is doing one right now...but we don't have them" Seems to me it's more ref to ref than US state reqs but who knows. |

I remember FEG K-1 commentary teams during Las Vegas events mentioning that there they did not have standing 8 counts specifically due to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. That was during the early-mid 2000s, though.

Fight was still ended by the ref, though.
