Who knows, getting hit by a backfist may improve Nichols' reffing.

This fight is fun as fuck... but boy it looks like to bar fighters, not pro fighters...

This is not the same JBS we saw against Rico. In this case I hope he's just been a bit lazy, because the alternative is that he's having health issues again. Yeah. Whatever the result I was pretty wrong here :/ JBS looking little like he has sometimes in the past in his worse moments and Wilnis a little better than I expected here.

I've been in and out of this event, but what I've seen so far was fun.
How was the Meksen fight? Worthy finding videos of after?

Wilnis has won this. Good for him as he really needs a win.

After losing a decision to Roman Kryklia and Luis tavares in his last few fights, and being on a 3 fight losing streak wilnis comes back and beats jamal worse than Rico did. Man this is weird.

This fight is fun as fuck... but boy it looks like to bar fighters, not pro fighters... Wilnis may not be the most refined heavyweight, but he's actually very cunning. When you look at him he paces himself so that he isn't out of breath after three minutes, he always looks for the best angles and takes the effort to finish with lowkicks as much as he can. Edit: Jahfarr Wilnis defeats Jamal Ben Saddik by Unanimous Decision

Well, Rico KO'd a better looking Jamal pretty hard. Also, Jahfarr and Rico train together a lot so I'm pretty sure that helps.

It's a shame about his health issues, because JBS has physical gifts that make you wish he was overflowing with roids and EPO to be able to use them

In conclusion, while I have sincere concerns for JBS' health I'm happy for Wilnis. I remember when his father passed Jahfarr wanted to dedicate his rematch with Brestovac to his dad only to get KO'd by highkick again and I remember feeling very bad for him.
Now he defeated a serious contender convincingly. He must feel good about that.

Also just wanted to quickly say the pacing of this main card has been pretty fantastic without the tournament

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is so much better and I hope they keep it that way.
