BTW I'm wondering what this means for Massaro; more fight shuffling or will he simply not fight anymore? Can they get a worthwhile opponent for him on short notice? Wait Massaro was around? Why didn't they get him again instead of risking SHOUTY KvN TRAINER VTR PART 2

KEVIN. VANNOSTRAND. TWO-TIME INTERIM CHAMPION, BAYYYBAYYYYY. You're only going to hear that if he manages to beat Petch, and that would be a huge accomplishment that no one can deny.

Glunder Removed From GLORY 55, Tafa/McDonald Moves to Main Cardwww.glorykickboxing.com/news/glunder-removed-from-glory-55-tafa-mcdonald-moves-to-main-card:19df1da6-1dbf-4b87-b1aa-4d762047e934Can't say I like the decision, but seeing how this is a New York event I understand why Vannostrand gets the nod over Glunder. Furthermore some of the fights have shuffled a bit and it looks like Chris Lukusa vs. PJ Sweda is off the card as well. (OP updated, undercard added) Good idea to hold the weigh-ins outside as that attracts a lot of attention. I could have done with better lighting by having some sort of roof over the stage and a slightly more professional looking production overall, but that's just me nitpicking I guess. Either way even with some of the changes I overall like the card and will be tuning in. Only thing I have yet to do is create a live discussion thread, but there's still time. BTW looks like Veronica is airing the main card live at 03:30 AM and they already had some sort of Q&A thing going on with Rico Verhoeven, which is nice to see.

Petch is elite and very fun to watch, but I'm going to root for KvN again. I love karatekas and fighters with unique styles in kickboxing, and I think it would be great fun if he gets the upset. His height should make it hard for Petch to land the left high kick clean. His best chance is catching Petch early, like the way he won round 1 against RvR. But if he slows down a little again in round 2, Petch will likely run away with it after that and perhaps even stop KvN in the middle or late rounds.

Think Pet will win pretty clear, but it'd be sorta hilarious if he somehow lost. Just to fan the flames of the RvR lost all the fights against Sitti/Pet -guys then for KvN to beat Pet after RvR beat him.

Not mocking him, exactly, just GLORY's wonky matchmaking. They keep running into dead ends at the upper ends of their divisions and it's their own damned fault.

ResultsMain CardAlex Pereira (R1 – KO) Yousri Belgaroui Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao (R5 – Split Dec) Kevin Vannostrand Junior Tafa (R1 – TKO 3 knockdowns) Anthony McDonald Victor Pinto (R3 – Split Dec) Nate Richardson Elvis Gashi (R3 – Unanimous Dec) Nick Chasteen SuperFight SeriesCédric Doumbé (R2 – TKO) Alan Scheinson Tiffany Van Soest (R3 – Split Decision) Sofia Olofsson Itay Gershon (R2 – TKO) Trevor Ragin Asa Ten Pow (R1 – TKO) Justin Greskiewicz Jacob Rodriguez (R3 – Decision) Joe Taylor GLORY 55 New York Live Results and Updatesliverkick.com/glory-55-new-york-live-results-and-updates/Missed it live and just now saw the SFS and Main card; this was a really good event! The good: - Pereira's KO over Belgaroui: a thing of beauty. Would have preferred seeing it the other way around, but that KO was fire. - Gashi/Chasteen: Gashi is still improving, but that Chasteen kid looked pretty solid as well. - Doumbé/Scheinson: Actually fun trashtalking and an unexpectedly good fight. Doumbé is 10 times more fun when he doesn't fight like a clown. - Itay Gershon's KO over Trevor Ragin. - Asa Ten Pow, man did he make quick work of Greskiewicz. - Sofia Olofsson showing she's not just happy to be here. The bad: - Petch/KVN: Awful fight, just awful. Nobody's at fault it's just a terrible clash of styles, but still.. Ugh.. - Tafa/McDonald: That fight should have been the opener for the main card. - Not sure I agree with Van Soest getting the decision over Olofsson. Didn't see the undercard, but heard some good things and would appreciate if someone could share the results for that.
