Just saw that Roel Mannaart is in the reserve bout. Shame he wasn't a tournament entrant but I'll take it.

Seems like that typical Dutch corruption© at work!

Just like with K-1 earlier today this was a great season ender for Glory. I was expecting this event to be fun, but it really over-delivered.
The Good + Ben Saddik knocking out Adegbuyi with an unusable right arm + Adegbuyi vs. Wilnis - A fantastic rematch and great fight in general + Mezouari's KO over Simson + Menshikov's KO over Hageman + Mannaart winning his second fight in Glory + The card being great before the tournament even started + Wrzosek showing tons of heart against an overwhelming Adegbuyi + In spite of everything else, Guto's heart. His face looked like mince meat at the end of the night, but he did not go down. Sure Ben Saddik refused to really pull the trigger after that initial flurry, but still. I always respect guts + Despite there not being any upsets in the QuarterFinals, the underdogs were no push-overs
The Bad - Guto/Abdallah - If there was one fight that looked like it did not belong on this card it was this one - With all the hype he's been getting Tavares barely getting past a decent, but beatable Gorlov - The realization that Menshikov vs. Mezouari and Simson vs. Hageman in all likelihood would have produced way more competitive fights. Really more of a nitpick than an actual complaint, though - Again more of a nitpick, but the arbitrary change in tournament structure of how semifinalists are matched up was completely unnecessary
Additional Notes - Don't want to write this as a negative because I didn't catch all of it, but at the very least the whole Tafa/Cup situation was.. weird - It's so weird to hear Glory commentators avoiding namedropping other promotions. I must have literally heard "fighter XYZ fought in another organisation recently" about 10 times. - I've mentioned the following in the live discussion already, but whenever Glory does VTR's and any kind of fight/event promotion like fight week etc. they should focus on fighters who are comfortable and skilled in English and when they are not just let them speak in their native tongue and use subs.
I feel like they focus a bit too much forcing everyone to speak English when that doesn't work well with everyone and results in boring interviews and promo's.
The interviews with Beztati, Koprivlenski and Baya were way more interesting than the majority of stuff they typically release.

btw... being an former amatuer kickboxing fighter until 9 years ago when I stopped, I know that even if the shots don't hit under the belt, it still hurts like hell if the cup is not fixed. It happened to me and if you get hit around the belt like tafa was the shockwaves and the body tissues and the pants moving still make the cup hit your genitalia and hurt pretty badly. Such a shame because that would have been a really great fight.

So it seems that jamal broke his hand in the guto fight but in the benny fight the injury became so bad that he could not use his hand at all. Man jamal showed so much heart in this tournament.
He also posted a photo with his arm in a cast . Hope it heals fast and we get see him vs Rico or Badr.

I screencapped & uploaded the post fight interviews with Tafa and Adegbuyi. Tafa: ufile.io/2vsdkAdegbuyi: ufile.io/t8gg6Remy and Helene were complaining about Tafa, but personally I have mixed feelings: part of me feels like he was bitching or at least milking the situation, while part of me feels like he just had some bad luck and somewhat understandably feels screwed over. And as far as Adegbuyi goes I just feel bad for him. BTW the reactions on Mixfight are.. mixed (pun not intended lol): Some people didn't like the level of the tournament, while others thought overall it was very exciting. I'm definitely in the second camp. I had a great time even though not every fight was great individually. In fact I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.
