liverkick.com/index.php/item/3564-jahfarr-wilnis-and-yodsanklai-win-big-at-kunlunSo not only have they signed Buakaw, Kunlun also seems to be in talks with Glory to co-promote an event. While I absolutely love the concept of "Promotion A VS Promotion B" events, I wonder what this could mean for the matchmaking as a lot of the bigger names are active both in Glory and Kunlun to begin with. Does this mean we will see Verhoeven VS Gerasimchuk II? Will Gerges represent Kunlun now that Glory has thrown him out? Is it possible to expect rematches of fights that happened in other Chinese promotions like Marcus VS Fang Bian II? What would you guys like to see?

I wonder if this is actually copromotion or if it's just going to be a regular Kunlun event that has some guys who've fought in Glory before as a hook

While I wouldn't rule it out, that's kinda what they've been doing all along. If it's actually going to be called Kunlun VS Glory - or something along those lines - they're going to need Glory's consent.

Absolutely 100% without Glory's consent.
There are a few Dutch managers, those that actually work with GLORY, that have a stake in Kunlun, so I dunno.

I can't imagine the Glory name has a lot of cachet with the Chinese ticket buying audience, is there any real aim for this outside of just being another way to advertise fights they could and would have made anyway?

I don't know.
Kunlun in general makes no sense.
K-1 drew monster ratings by using local fighters and no-names, WLF does the same thing. Kunlun pays European fighters big money and draws a small fraction of the ratings. Is it probably the best kickboxing organization around at times? Absolutely.

they should start raining money on the crowd kazuchika okada style if they like wasting money. maybe that will get them more ratings.

Man, I miss when kickboxing and pro wrestling were so closely tied together.

Glory names for their 2 day event next month I've seen floating around so far: Davit Kiria, Simon Marcus, Alexander Stetsurenko, Albert Kraus and Ky Hollenbeck. Seems to be shaping up sorta like the event(s) they started the year with.

Glory looks out of money. Honestly.
