Looks fun, very Guardians-y. I'm liking haircut Hulk.

The second AC/DC kicks in it goes from (potentially) good to garbage. I hope the second half of the trailer does not accurately represent the movie and it's just a bunch of idiots doing the marketing for this.
The original Death Wish might not be for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned this remake has a high standard to live up to and it would be disappointing if the one movie Bruce Willis actually shows up for being a generic cashgrab insult to a classic.

Looks fun, very Guardians-y. I'm liking haircut Hulk. The contrast between this and the grounded blandness of the first movie was trippy. You get the sense that Marvel really was biding its time, understating the comic book origins in the first few movies and are now feel totally comfortable with bringing all the psychadellic coloring and outlandish settings of the source material.

Oh absolutely. They couldn't have gone this extreme in Phase 1 of the MCU or they might have lost part of the more casual audience.

So I just got back from IT and had an absolute blast. I guess I really shouldn't be, but I'm surprised about reading quite a few negative reactions on the film and even some of my friends I went with were so-so on it. Some didn't like that there was quite a bit of comedy in it and it wasn't frightening enough while others said the CGI in some of the scenes took them out of it.
I've read the book and seen the tv miniseries multiple times and if I'd have to put a number on it I'd say this was about 60-70% accurate to the book so far (this was only the first of 2 films). I fully understand that for multiple reasons adaptations have changes in them compared to the source material and thought the film did the book justice.
I love all the versions of IT and hope this finds enough success (i.e. box office) to get the sequel made; At least the critics praise the film and I agree with them for once. I'm all for criticism and voicing thoughts and opinions, but why or how is it that so many people have forgotten how to have fun and have become cynical assholes instead of having a more positive outlook on things?

Looks like it could be fun. I've barely played the Tomb Raider games, but in many ways it's the (female) predecessor of Uncharted. I remember seeing the more campy Angelina Jolie iterations of Tomb Raider in theatres as a kid and somewhat liking them back then. If nothing else, Alicia Vikander is great in anything.

The combination of John Travolta not having been in anything noteworthy in a while and the announcement that this would be a VOD based release made me fear this would look awful, but it actually looks pretty good. Granted, parts of it have a bit of a TV movie vibe, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
I'm definitely giving this a shot.

Another one I have somewhat mixed feelings about, albeit for different reasons. While it's Marvel Cinematic Universe related (loosely, since it's TV and not film) I'll definitely check it out. And part of it definitely looks interesting, but some parts kind of look like typical TV budget sci-fi which needs really good writing to compensate for other deficiencies. 3mins in, quite bad. I'll watch a little more but not looking good. Okay this can go two ways: 1: Intriguing show about different points of view and ideologies 2: Typical TV teenage angst bullshit Really pulling for number 1 here. On a sidenote: I absolutely hate seeing Jamie Chung in there. She was in DragonBall Evolution and part of me doesn't want to see anyone involved with that atrocity ever finding work in Hollywood again. 2. Terrible Considering many reports have been mentioning the production of this has been absolute chaos so far, it actually looks pretty good. The trailer does make it seem pretty action heavy though, so I wonder if will it be more like the recent movies or more like the original tv series. Quite liked the first 3 episodes.

I liked the first one and this looks similar. Basically a better version of Transformers & Power Rangers.
Also come on, the trailer has music from Tupac!

3mins in, quite bad. I'll watch a little more but not looking good. As a devout Marvel and DC fan I will watch this, but so far I've read and heard nothing but awful things so it's a little disheartening. It's funny. I haven't seen any of it yet myself, but have heard mostly positive early buzz about this. Quite liked the first 3 episodes. Most reviews of the first two episodes (by hardcore Trekkies) had a pretty negative tone, but apparently things got a bit better with the third episode. I always find it interesting to hear different types of reactions (by reasonable people), but it really drives home that much more that you absolutely can not trust any opinion other than your own.
