I am torn between hoping this becomes the CREED of the Karate Kid franchise and general distaste for YoutubeRed

Very sad and a bit depressed that DragonBall Super is ending next week. I feel like such a nerd sometimes lol. Ren Hiramoto has been live tweeting the show and said he's considering dying his hair gray in honor of Goku's last transformation for the next fight. Not that I've forgiven that show for treating Piccolo and Tien as jobbers, but I thought it was confirmed to be continuing in the movie?

I've been staying away from spoilers, but caught some unintended snippets here and there in addition to what I'm expecting to happen in the finale next week. I've read on Kanzenshuu that the movie at the end of the year will be some sort of continuation and follow up to the end of the anime even though the story is supposed to be an origin of the saiyans.
In an interview with the series' director and producer they hinted to watch until the very end in the last episode, so they might drop some hints or even a first teaser for the movie.
As a big fan of the humans + Piccolo I can definitely relate to your comment, but it depends to what specific 'era' you're referring. If you're talking Z, every non Saiyan was pretty much moved to the sidelines after Cell.
As far as Super goes though, most characters have made pretty awesome comebacks. I don't know if/what you've seen so I won't go into details, but Piccolo has been awesome, Kuririn has been awesome and don't even get me started on Muten Roshi. His moments and multiple dedicated episodes are probably among my all time favorites. Ironically, Tenshinhan - who is pretty much my favorite character - has gotten the least moments to shine, but still was treated respectably.

Haha that actually looks really fun! I may finally watch original content on that $20/mth youtube red subscription I've kept running! Merging a bit with fight news, but Hiramoto said this in the post fight presser which I found vaguely reminiscent of something

That actually may have been a subtle DragonBall reference
This was an awesome What-If story. Here's hoping it gains enough steam that there'll be an anime-adaptation at one point.

Really looking forward to this one.
Some people don't like the style of animation used in the DC Animated features, because it looks too much like Anime (these films are generally animated in Asia, presumably a financial decision).
As far as I'm concerned though, this is pretty much the best of both worlds.

Your otaku power level is over 9000, K1power Haven't finished Dragon Ball Super yet, but I finished Chaos;Child yesterday, and for all the problems it has and with me not expecting any sugary happy ending knowing the universe, it still left quite an impression. Makes me even more hyped for the new Steins;Gate.

I take pride in my otaku level While the name does ring a bell, I can't say I'm familiar with Chaos:Child. As a 'true westerner' I'm mainly familiar with somewhat more mainstream Shōnen Jump related material like DragonBall and Naruto (which I still have to finish the anime of). I've also watched & read some more adult themed things like The Guyver which I absolutely adore. I've watched both the 80's and 2005 anime adaptations and read until wherever the manga was at about 10 years ago. Since the manga is still running today(!!) I want to revisit and catch up to it when I get the time for it.
