Noiri vs HIROYA was pretty great. Yamazaki beat Kubo in the other semi and he faces Noiri in the final.

I thought Noiri-Yamazaki was a draw and was expected an extension round.
Feel like Massaro was hard done by, thought that fight was a draw too.
All the GP fights were top quality. HIROYA looked really good, gave Noiri a really good fight. Huge respect to Yamazaki, coming back looking stronger than ever after Kaew smashed his face in. Loved that sneaky shit he was throwing with his lead leg to Kubo's face!

I've always been a bit down on Hiroya for his unspectacular results despite huge promotional favouritism. But he really put up a great fight against Noiri. I don't know what their plans for the 65kg World GP are, but if their international talent isn't too deep I wouldn't be opposed all 4 semi-finalists being in.

Lol, they might want to think of a cooler looking way to make the mascot exit the ring.

Lol, they might want to think of a cooler looking way to make the mascot exit the ring. The funniest thing was how they had in ring announcer narrating the whole thing. He was saying something to the effect of "Now a surprising fact of Taro-kun is that its harder for him to exit the ring than enter it. As we see here, its his style to exit going backwards." It was a great event as expected. A real game changer for the 65kg landscape and as K-1's bringing in some new 65kg talent (i.e. Ilias), I look forward to the world tournament as well.
