This. This. This.
Those "undecided voters" who like to opine are really the worst, and paying attention to them particularly at this point is the worst waste of time ever. Who give a shit about the opinions of dumbfucks who don't even matter.
Genuinely more annoying than MAGA.

Most of this kind of silly paranoia derives from an excessive amount of narcissism. Who gives a fuck about a mindless shitbomb like Gregg Jarrett @ Fox News, you ask, but this man is rather serious in his paranoia. And that really is the disease that plagues our contemporary America, and beyond. Also, I'd bet all of my assets that Higgins, a Republican Congressman, is utterly serious with this tweet, and he's someone who does know how things in general work in US politics and around the US government. Still insanely paranoid like this.

What a terrible set of numbers that we have to see everyday, almost everywhere. Hospitalizations in particular are shooting up. The treatment improvement can really only do so much. They are going to overwhelm us at this pace sooner rather than later.
What a failure.

So many of the new cases in Germany can be traced back to home parties that it isn't funny at all.
What the hell is wrong with people?

3C's
1. Crowded places 2. Closed places with little/no ventilation 3. Close-contact settings
Avoid them.

I've been hoping for a long time that convalescent plasma will be a big game changer on the treatment side. The US government made the announcement to hype it up on complete shit evidence, and that actually set it back by weeks.
And now, we might get a definite answer very soon.

Avoid poorly-ventilated indoor spaces, or at least don't stay there for too long. And by too long, I mean no more than five minutes, tops.
And no conclusive evidence yet, but all the data point to the notion that viral loads matter like crazy. You really, really want to minimize the viral loads that you get. It seems that high exposure can severely damage younger people too.
So, in other words, pray for your health workers.

Officially cancel Thanksgiving. It's the worst thing to do that you could think of at this juncture of Covid-19 problem. You'd have to be crazy to carry on with it this year.
You wouldn't have to deal with your crazy uncles. It's a no brainer. You never really liked Thanksgiving to begin with.

Holy shit, lol.
No, my reaction wasn't to the Moon and Mars stuff, both of which I LIKE actually.
The first problem is "World's Greatest Infrastructure System."
Who wrote this? An eight year old?
And, the GOP has a single issue, and that's the tax cut for the rich. I've said it 124,587 times already in this thread alone.
But they never say that highly unpopular thing is their overriding policy, so put a bunch of stuff in there to muddy the water.
So, the second problem is that the Moon and Mars and "World's Greatestest Infrastfurcucterueure Sistem" are all they could come up with.
In the middle of a pandemic.
It's a joke party with far too much power.

You'd think the "But it's mostly young/But we test a lot/But deaths are low" crowd have died down already.
Nope. I've had to CONSTANTLY deal with them since May, and that hasn't changed a bit. They are programmed to keep saying it. They'll keep saying it until the goddamn kingdom comes and enslaves all of us.

If your country neglected to strengthen the hospitals during the "downtime," I don't think they will be able to cope. You really have to look up the numbers. It's a tsunami.
We must do our part. At least let's not go anywhere near an elderly person. Let's not murder anyone.

It's just incredible that they started taking ventilation seriously IN SEPTEMBER. UK could be urged to keep windows open in effort to curb Covid-19www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/24/uk-could-be-urged-to-keep-windows-open-in-effort-to-curb-covid-19-poor-ventilationJesus Christ. Scientists started talking about this in EARLY MARCH around here. I'm not trying to emphasize who did better than whom and shit like that. This is not an international competition, and today's model case can be tomorrow's giant failure (e.g. Czechia). That's the nature of this virus. But this kind of shit dampens my spirits like crazy. I really, really would like to ask the scientists in these countries WHY they kept ignoring the discoveries/theories made in a region/country that has been relatively successful so far, while paying so much attention to Sweden. It's just objectively ridiculous. Is there REALLY any explanation other than arrogance/hubris? Euro/West-centrism? And even more importantly, why has the public information campaign in these places sucked so fucking hard? Most of the population seem disconcertingly ignorant of the nature of this virus presumably because they haven't been fucking informed of it other than "Social Distancing!!!!!!" which means fuck all without a proper context. And they are some of the worst-hit countries in the world who really should know better after experiencing such hardship. It's so fucking baffling. I'm talking to you too, Belgium.

Epidemiology is a joke field. Those British/American scientists made a complete ass of themselves.
