my family is fighting on facebook right now. my nephew has a dead beat for a dad and my own dad called him out last night on his shortcomings of being a man. this is going to be fun. but its quite annoying. and ill be dragged into it eventually im sure. i just hope its not physically. because that means someone tried to go at my dad and yeah. flesh n blood, etc. ill be backing him up. hopefully this de-escalates. i dont need this shit. lol.

I'm so fucking pleased with my new Xperia Z1. That's one beast of a smartphone.
Wait, that's not really a rant.
Jeez, it feels so different on a different forum. My vileness doesn't naturally come out. It will take some getting used to, I guess.
Oh, BTW, Filip Dewinter, a pathetic reactionary racist idiot from Vlaams Belang, the Flemish Islamophobic far-right party in Belgium, visited Israel and apparently had a nice meeting with the Israeli deputy PM. Needless to say, people like him have no love for Jews, but this is par for the course with the latest trend of racist European right-wingers cozying up with the Jewish Israeli right-wingers. You know, like that Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik, who praised Israel and its "fight against Islam" like the best things since thinly sliced bread in his manifesto.
And they say I am the anti-Semite, for calling the Israeli right-wingers fucking idiots. Super.
Well, I guess this is more like it.

I have a blog post due to publish tomorrow morning, 1,000 words minimum, and I haven't even nailed down what I am going to write about.
Must roll the dice on this one.

Krugman: krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/04/03/on-the-pathetic-left/What makes it extra problematic is that most of those rich bankers and "job creators" actually believe their own bullshit. So if you attack their bogus theories, the rich try to defend them like they are their mom. The real greedy nihilists are actually easier to deal with by comparison. But many people just can't shake off the idea that the elites know what they are talking about; they too often attribute policy blunders almost entirely to the elites' corruption, greed, evil, etc. and not enough to their utter idiocy. Hell, we couldn't even stop the neocons wrt the Middle East in general, the former Soviet Union etc. The main characteristic of neoconservatives is the total lack of knowledge about the specific topics that they are supposed to be discussing. Paul Wolfowitz said that it would only take several tens of thousands of boots on the ground in Iraq. He assumed that the Iraqis would welcome the US troops with rose petals and do most of the work to "rebuild" the country by themselves. There was virtually no mention of the complex political/religious situation in the country. They thought that what the Iraqis wanted above all else was so-called democratic elections. They actually thought that Saddam was a dictator simply because he liked it. If you believed these too, I wouldn't allow you to call yourself an adult. Yet the entire US government ended up buying that astonishing nonsense. And it was hardly just the US government, and I'm not just talking about the Brits, Spaniards, Japanese and so on. Our current Danish Nato general Anders Fogh Rasmussen enthusiastically believed it, and so did Jose Manuel Barroso, that Portuguese orc who currently runs the European Commission. Those utter idiots are still pretty much ruling us. When South Ossetia/Russia pushed back the Georgian troops, the neocons urged - no, BEGGED Georgia to wage a guerrilla war. That would've been national suicide for Georgians. Hell, it doesn't even make much sense in actuality. Georgia wants South Ossetia back under its control, but the overwhelming majority of the Ossets do not want be part of it. So, the "guerrilla war" would mean that the Georgians would have to fight both the Russian troops stationed there and the locals who hate their guts. The counter-guerrilla warfare from the Ossetian side would be absolutely fierce. The Georgian/Ossetian civilians would be by far the biggest victims. But the neocons don't care. They think that a "guerrilla war" is just like a video game. Hell, given the realism of today's FPS's, they probably don't even play those games. Their knowledge on warfare starts with an old board game, and ends with a Hollywood movie. All they have is a clear ideological goal, which justifies virtually anything. Ultimately, they don't care about whether they are right about specific things. They firmly believe that if they keep saying blue is yellow, blue WILL be yellow. But don't think of them as mere manipulators. Their fanatical passion for their own delusion isn't any less intense than the religious fundamentalists'. When they beg Georgia to wage a guerrilla war against Russia, they genuinely think that there is a way to achieve that, with absolutely no evidence. What you should fear the most is not those dictators and monsters in the world, but the astonishing level of ignorance that our elites display. Too many of them are stupid enough to listen to the idiot bankers and neocon children. It's a miracle that this planet is still (kinda) holding.

Ukraine has been slipping out of the front pages lately, but does anybody still have any doubt in their mind that Ukraine is a failed state whose life is numbered? Hell, the worst-case scenario for the Ukrainian citizens may even be the case where Ukraine as it is now will continue to exist for decades to come.
Separatists in East Ukraine are making moves everywhere, and Kiev is trying to paint them as "terrorists". But the fact of the matter is that if you were from East Ukraine (and especially if you were an ethnic Russian), you'd be a little mad if you didn't secretly (or not) hope for separation. With the IMF austerity, gas price shooting up, the EU deal about to inflict considerable damage on the industry, and the Kiev government with so many western Ukrainian/Galician nationalists/ultra-nationalists itching to suppress everything Russian, why would anyone in their right mind want to stay with Ukraine through thick and thin? For what?
Just try to put yourself in their shoes for once. The only thing that would hold you back is the fear of uncharted territory, the fear of the "West" who could possibly make your life even more miserable if you tried to go against their wish. And you'd still know that you live in a failed state.
I wouldn't be surprised if a significant number of ethnic Ukrainians in the East also wanted out of this "Ukraine" mess of a country, even if they wouldn't want to join Russia.
Once again, it seems that the "West" didn't do their homework at all before trying to meddle in. That's the pattern of their behavior. Russia at least did; they knew this would happen. I genuinely believe that those US neocons and Euro idiots didn't expect a mess on this scale. That's why they are saying that Russia schemed the whole thing, as if the separatist sentiment in the East was totally manufactured by the Russians. Well, they even said that Russia effectively threatened the people in Crimea to vote for joining Russia, to imply that the Crimeans actually wanted to stay with Ukraine. With that utter bollocks, that ridiculous insult to our intelligence, they lost all the credibility in the world, especially since five minutes of research and actual THINKING should be enough for anyone to understand there are clear reasons for many (possibly the majority of) people in East Ukraine, not to mention Crimea, to want out of Ukraine at this point.
Only state violence in one way or another could continue to suppress the separatist movements and sentiments, and it would have to be much more intense and extensive than whatever Yanukovych did against the Maidan protesters. Would the "West" support it? The only way that I see to keep them together for much longer is (much) higher standard of living to be shared by all Ukrainian citizens. And that's about as realistic as a tooth fairy. Neither the EU nor the US is even remotely close to giving such hope, because, ultimately, they don't give a shit about Ukrainians.
This is all so incredibly stupid. Political idiocy at its finest-ugliest. Ignorance is not a fucking bliss.
