This clown was massively popular in the online Trumpian-right world, but few remember that he was fired by Milo Yiannopoulos, of all people, for being too "stupid and dumb."
If you think you are too dumb to have your 15 minutes in your life, always consider the dumb grift world of far-right populism. If you're ruthless enough you will get your chance.

This is one GOOD attitude that Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have in common.

They should stop using the term "Covid skeptics" and "Covid skepticism."
People who make shit up and cling to discredited claims based clearly on motivated reasoning aren't any kind of "skeptics"; They are actively trying to fabricate a reality. That totally goes against the definition of "skeptics."
This kind of people are called, even at white-washing best, "advocates" in the English language. Take that "I'm just asking" weasel attitude away from them.

There is no "party of Eisenhower" anymore. There hasn't been such a party for decades now. Eisenhower was a fucking traitor as far as the Birchers were concerned.
Birchers - and ones who can tolerate them as long as they can win elections - are a significant pluraity of the Republican base today. I don't see anything that can change that any time soon.
I don't know if people like Sasse are simply willing to lie to pretend that that Bircher faction in the GOP is anything new, or are completely detached from the reality. He's a Congressman, but a Congressperson can easily be more delusional than the regular Joe.
Donald Trump became prominent in right-wing politics first with his numerous Birtherism tweets. He is a fucking Bircher himself.

If you don't know what "Bircher" means, look up "John Birch Society." You'll see there's nothing new about the whole MAGA/QAnon school of thought. Most MAGAs haven't even heard of the JBS, but their spirit has lived on.
And, No, they aren't even the original. The conspiracy-theory loving right-wing current is as American as apple pie. Since the beginning of the nation.
And they've won. The Republican Party is a cult today.

I don't know where that "President doesn't use the F-word even in private, so any quote that has the F-word is fake" stuff comes from? He most certainly does. At least did. A lot, though not in public.

OK, many British firms are complaining about red tape, VAT, and custom declarations.
Huh.
You can't do anything about those things no matter what, can you. I mean, if you don't have them, then that wouldn't be Brexit, would it; That would be just staying in the EU basically, you know.
I don't know. They sound like MAGA who are upset that Biden is *actually* becoming the president.
And just like in the US, some people kept lying to those British people, I guess.
I'm a non-EU citizen who has lived and worked in the EU. While I was there I occasionally had to give up something that my EU-citizen friends could enjoy with no hassle. That's just the way it is, what it is.

Switzerland never left the EU, because it was never part of it to begin with. But the Swiss had a plan. They prepared their whole industries for it.
And nonetheless it has been a bumpy road in terms of the trade relationship with the EU.
OTOH, it's inevitably harder for a country who *was* part of it and enjoyed for years the benefit of being inside a protectionist bloc with a huge number of consumers.
It should take some enormous national effort to prepare such companies/people for the life without the privilege/benefit. And I don't see any evidence of that having ever taken place anywhere in the UK.

The Biden administration is assembling a very impressive team of scientists and communicators for Covid, and scientific advancement in general. It's going to be such a massive upgrade from the pitiful horse manure that was Trump's "science" team.
There's such a contrast between that, and the same old crap team in foreign policy.

What a fucking freak. No wonder she's from west Colorado.
There are always more than a few hardcore Bircher crazies in the House, but this QAnon circus freak is Sarah Palin on steroids level of crazy.

Of course Navalny wanted to go back to Russia now, as soon as possible. He knew he couldn't wait any longer, or the chance to make an impact and put the Kremlin in a tough spot might slip away.
But the problem is that he doesn't have big audience in Russia. And that's not entirely because Russians stopped caring due to the atmosphere of cynicism that Putin created. He's a problematic figure with the weaknesses that Putin's goons have exploited since Day One.
To put it very simply, perhaps too simply, Russians tend to think he's a phony.
So he might have to spend several years in jail/locked in, for nothing, with few Russians ever supporting or even honoring his actions. At the end of the day, the Kremlin always, always prioritize domestic aspects over international ones. They are more likely than not to simply ignore the "international voices."
But I'm not saying anything that Navalny doesn't know. He still made that choice. He's got balls.
And compare him to the American conservative phonies lying through their teeth, calling for the "unity" crap, shitting in the pants as they are scared shitless of MAGA/QAnon mobs in their districts.
Actually, let's not even do that. Don't compare them. Let's not insult Navalny. Unlike those pathetic soulless slimes in the wealthiest country in the world, he is a living creature, an active participant in history.

D.C. now looks like that city in Half-Life 2. Looks perfect for some LARPing, although it would be game over in two minutes.

The speed at which people throw you under the bus as soon as you've become a bad PR for their thing. He is a dumbfuck, and has done so much for MAGA. But now he's just a "former Trump-hater" "who endorsed a Democrat for president." This place is full of empty souls.

Take that "I'm just asking" weasel attitude away from them. I have some acquaintances in my friends list on Facebook who seem to be drinking the 'COVID IS A LIE' Kool-Aid by the gallon and it's definitely not 'skepticism'. When you're posting videos titled 'This 80 Year Old Doctor Tells The Truth About COVID!', 'This Nurse Shares What's REALLY Happening At Hospitals!' and applaud news stories about restaurants 'just opening their doors' I don't know what to tell you. These people are actually basing reality on their opinion, rather than basing their opinion on reality. I guess that's what happens when the truth is inconvenient (no pun intended lol). Like I touched upon in an earlier post, it doesn't help that there are so many assholes with a PhD who supply these weak minded people with more than enough bricks to build their walls of denial. That said, I can't bring myself to unfollow/unfriend them. They're actually nice people that are frustrated and, unfortunately, dangerously out-of-touch with reality.
