Every single "prediction" of yours has been a mere wish. No wonder you flunked virtually all science exams back in school.

I don't even know how many times I've watched Miller's Crossing and Fargo. Easily dozens, for each. I know literally every single line in these films.
I don't even think Fargo is one of the Coen brothers' better films, but that Minnesotan/Scandinavian accent spoken throughout the movie was basically ASMR for me before ASMR became a thing.

Cases and deaths lag by several weeks.

I've said this before, but most people are not aware of this pretty basic bias. It comes mostly from what I dislike the most - yes, lazy thinking. Stop it at least when it comes to important matters.
I mentioned the example of pesticide, but there are many, many other examples.

The kind of the mortality rate bump that many countries, including a shit load of *developed* ones, have had were traditionally caused by either a region-wide famine or large-scale civil war.
Only unhinged braindeads would argue that is no big deal. Hell, I hesitated to used the word "argue" there, because, I mean, what the fuck is wrong with those pissants?

Should I talk about the strange respect that I get from people after I told them that I got Covid in February 2020?
No, I shouldn't. But their reaction is often hilarious.

The media talk incessantly about the everyone-will-get-it-anyway-so-why-bother sentiment, particularly among younger people, but for some reason rarely talk about this one.
MANY of my friends in the US feel this way. They stopped caring about the deaths. As far as they are concerned, there are already two different societies, the vaccinated and unvaccinated, so it's not even a truly social issue *for them*.
That logic clearly doesn't work with the healthcare system and its workers, because such a distinction is absolutely meaningless to them, but that's really the sentiment.

I thought the Alpha wave was the last major one back in 2020-2021 winter, and was burnt. That "prediction" was indeed no more than a mere wish, a product of lazy thinking. I won't make that mistake again.
There are certainly reasons to believe Omicron is the end of major Covid waves, the final transition to the vaguely "endemic" period. But I'm not sure. I certainly wouldn't bet my house on it. I did have reasons to believe the Alpha wave was the last one, too.

That said, the peculiarities of "gen z dating" is way overblown, as is the "wokeness" issue, basically by the same people. So while it's a funny topic, meh.

You can and more often than not do get very sick with Omicron even though vaccinated. It's a flu-or-worse-or-much-worse-level sick for most people over 30, and needless to say the unvaccinated usually have it a helluva lot worse.
So, I'm talking about the definition of "mild" again here like a fucking parrot. But it's important. You can get pretty sick with Omicron no matter what.

You wonder who the fuck gives a fuck about/watch Bill Maher, and the answer is boomers. That's why you don't know a single one among your friends who watches that crap. The ones with *that* tendency watch Joe Rogan instead, right?

LOL @ The American/British media's glee whenever cases shoot up in South Korea, Taiwan, to a lesser extent Japan/Australia, China, New Zealand etc. It's very clearly glee. Such petty people, but we are all human.

Some countries fucked up, and will end up with astronomically fewer people per capita than others. Deal with that. You fucked up.
